Ok the final plan is camping at the fort sometime end of may. Fly in on SW, wdw shuttle to Fort. Rent tent, etc from Tina. Get groceries from Publix delivered. Buy 4 or 5 day base pass, no hopping. Buy lanyards, autograph books, pins, ears etc up here. Use AAA to get tix. Open SW acct to get free rewards (how does this work?) Does anyone see any flaws in this plan? Any other cost saving measures I missed? Thx for the help, my DS and family are going to have a great time! :woohoo:

Be sure to get some snack type foods to throw in a backpack. A good sized snack in the park can delay "real eatin'" until you get back to camp, and save you from Mickey's wallet grab!

capcrn2009,

I saw your thread about this and it sounds like a plan. :thumbsup2

The one thing I'm not certain of is if Publix delivers groceries. If so that's news to me. Most people open an account with http://www.gardengrocer.com (people seem to use them frequently who are in the cabins). You sign up for your order/selections before you leave and they will bring it to you.

Since you won't have wheels, another consideration is to order pizza and have it delivered. They offer a take-out pizza at Trail's End but it generally does not have a very good reputation. I call the nearest Papa John's at 407-477-7777 in Lake Buena Vista. Our crew usually gets 2 large "the works". They deliver to the Fort check-in office building. Sometimes they have specials so always ask. And always properly tip your driver.

On the night we check in we always get a take-out dinner from Trails End called the "Giddyup and Go" (or GAG as it is otherwise known). It has 10 pieces of fried chicken (pretty good), choice of 2 sides (slaw, mashed taters, pork-n-beans, fries, mach/cheese) and biscuits. Plus they provide paper plates, napkins, plastic knife-fork-spoon, salt/pepper, etc. It costs $24 but it will feed a family of 4 easily (drinks are extra naturally).

I love your plan. :cool1:

Good luck!

PS - saw a Papa Johns pizza commercial on NBC tonight "any pizza for $11"
