 Well we finally made a decision to keep the THV for part of our October stay and of course I lost (read deleted) my notes with the villa numbers and their corresponding views.

I believe 7056 has a pool view but that's all I can remember. I've tried the search function but am coming up empty. I am finding cool pics though which is making me very happy.

Any info would be great. :worship: :flower3: A map would also be nifty.

I was told last week that Disney isn't going to let us request room numbers, you have to pick a request from their list.

Rentayenta? Were you channeling my thoughts last night? I was TOTALLY thinking about looking into the THV in case I can't get a BCV room for 3 or 4 days. I know it's a tough one too, but still. I was thinking. ;)

Never mind. :) You are the SSR owner, Iw as channeling you. Sorry to have tapped into your brain waves. ;)

:rotfl: Thats funny Stephanie (I see the name in your sig). Call me Jenny. :goodvibes What dates, I'll check availability. DH finally gave in so we're THV and soon to be AKV. Too bad we can't trade a few dates!

Hi Jenny! I KNOW! There should be a trading program for those of us willing to trade this stuff!
I'm looking at Oct 13-15th or 16th. Sweet of you to offer! I'm not even asking my family about the possibility. They don't know and don't care. They just enjoy my plans. When DH and I started going to WDW back in 1994, prior to the TWVs being what theya re now, we always dreamed of staying in one of those houses as we would cruise by on the boat from Dixie Landings or POFQ. :cloud9: Now it's possible which is SO cool!

:thumbsup2 The 14th and 15th are available. :thumbsup2 The THV look so cool and one of the reasons we bought at SSR. I've been salivating over them as have the kids up DH really wanted to stay at the SSR part of SSR. Well after a Netflix Disney behind the scene show and the look of sheer joy on our faces, he caved. He really doesn't care, I think he was just seeing how long I'd hold out before trying to sway him. Plus he travels so much more than the rest of us, he really can't complain. ;)

Thanks Jenny! :thumbsup2  I'll send you a PM now. ;) :goodvibes

If your DH wants to be at SSR then you may consider requesting near the path to SSR brings you out to Grand Stand area, close to boat at the THV and close to a pool. I loved this area and DD's would catch the bus from GS area when they wanted to to the parks, it was easier then taking the internal buses from THV to SSR then changing to park bus. The walk was under 5 minutes and it was a beautiful walk. Enjoy your stay - I LOVED the THV the outdoor space and empty pool made it for me!

:thumbsup2 Great idea- thank you! We're really looking forward to it. They look so cool. The kids are going to flip. I am an admitted view junkie though. I'm looking to walk to the main bus vs taking a bus to the bus. The empty pool with the cute frog fountain looks perfect. I'm imagining chilling by the pool with my red Solo cup full of something delicious as I type. :cloud9: And the personal grills are a bonus since we're planning on BBQing a few nights during this stay.

MS has a list of view requests that they now use and members can select from the same choices if they use online check in.

I just called this morning to add a room request to my VGC reservation and they allowed me to specify 10 room numbers in order of preference.

Nice. :thumbsup2 We were able to as well at the GCV in Novemeber so I was wondering if this was a new Jan 1st policy? Maybe just at the WDW resorts? :confused3

We asked for a THV near the walking path to SSR and got #734. Right by the path, easy walk to Grandstand bus stop or the Carriage house, lovely view of the woods and the golf course. You're going to love the decor and theming and the porch and grill. Kids loved the bunkbeds. The sofabed and chair were plenty comfy. Extra bonus on the grill is that someone comes and cleans it out during the day. No need to fool with charcoal disposal!

I'm not sure I would have loved the THVs if we had been at the other end. I really liked being able to walk to SSR to catch the bus or get to the carriage house. (note: if you want to skip sitting on the bus while it goes through the entire resort, walk a little further to get to the carriage house and catch the bus there - last stop before the parks). DH's knee was bothering him so we took the internal bus a few times as well to save him the extra walk. It worked fine and didn't really take any longer... I just prefer the walk.

We're staying in a THV in about 2 weeks. I don't really care about the view or the walking path as I suspect all views are fine and we will have our own car for transportation. My only real request is to make sure we can park right next to the villa. Are there any villas that are better than others for this feature? My mom is in a wheel chair for the parks and will be able to do the stairs to get into the THV, but I don't want her to have to walk too far from the car to the stairs.

We requested "south end" and "canal view" and were placed in 7030 -- perfect. we were right next to the path to SSR to the bus stop, and short walks to both pool, and boat dock.

While the parking space was near the villa, the walkway was a bit long. For wheelchair, I'd use the chair to the bottom of the stairs.
