We just returned from our first stay in the tree house villas. They were even better than we expected! The villa is beautifully decorated and was very clean.

We checked in at 3:30 PM with no wait, and our room was ready. We were assigned 7032 which was an excellent location. We were next to the bus stop, the path to the Grandstand, and very close to the pool and boat transportation stop. I was a little worried that we would hear lots of noise from the buses, but the room is amazingly well sound proofed so I slept like a baby. It was so convenient to walk out the door and be right at the bus stop to pick up the shuttle to the Springs stop, and if we decided to walk it was a short trip to the Grandstand stop. The main buses stop at the Grandstand first, so you usually get a seat, and their last stop is at the Springs, so you may be standing, but it gives you a chance to catch a bus that you may have missed at the Grandstand. All in all we had very good bus service all week with only one long wait from the Magic Kingdom back to the resort (40 painful minutes!). Usually we only waited 5 minutes or less. We had a car but mostly used the buses.

One thing we were surprised about is how much we liked the THV pool. We went to the High Rock Springs pool, the Paddock pool, and the THV pool. We loved the new slide at the Paddock Pool, but kept going back to the THV pool. The water was warmer, it was quieter, and we liked the setting in the trees, plus it was such a short walk from our treehouse to that pool.

Housekeeping and Bell services were excellent. We had one light out in a bedroom, and the cutting board was missing. One call and they were over in 10 minutes with the cutting board, and within 30 minutes to replace the light bulb. Then later in the week we needed more dishwasher detergent, and they brought it in about 15 minutes and just hung it on the door. Trash and towel service was on time and done well.

We had a really great stay, with comfy beds, a clean and well functioning unit that seemed very roomy, and small issues that were dealt with quickly. When I got home I ordered the gel pillows and they came in a few days. Love those pillows!

We also just got back from the THV's and were in 7023! We had a very similar GREAT experience. We got to check in around 11:15am and our THV was ready!:cool1: We were two villas over from the boat launch. We realized on the 1st morning that our toaster wasn't working (you had to hold the slide part down to get it to toast). I called for that and more pillows and was told that due to capacity in the resorts, we would not be able to get any pillows. I swear that I no more than hung up the phone and they showed up with a new toaster and more pillows! We LOVE the THV's! We had great service there from start to finish.

I was a little surprised that bus to MK did not start running until 6:30am on Christmas morning when the park was scheduled to open at 7! We barely made it to park opening! We stayed 10 nights and went to the park 7 days. Only waited that one time and another time for 18 minutes for a MK bus and that morning we missed opening by 5 or 6 minutes. Other than that, the buses came very frequently. Oh and I did notice on almost every trip back to SSR people inquiring about how to get to DTD....grrrrr....enough said!
