Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find any definitive answer by searching the forum. So here goes...

What size are the bunk beds? Specifically, can they sleep adults (assuming they're not over 6'), or are they primarily kid-sized? Thanks!

Always wanted to stay there, even back before they were 'condemned and re-built'. May give them a try next summer. We just need to know how many, or what size, friends to invite!!

They are a standard twin mattress. My 70+ father slept on the bottom bunk and my 40+ sister took the top one and they were fine. Maintenance can unlock the top rails to make it easier for an adult.

My son, at 6'1", was too tall for the bunks. The adult who ended up taking that room was only about 5'10". I'm sure he wouldn't have chose that room but since they are my points, he got what he got. The rooms are all pretty small.

We had 9 of us in the THV and since they were my points...ours too got what they got. If they didn't like it they could always get their own room as they were told upfront what was available to sleep on. :)

There will be 9 of us when we go as well, would you recommed it or not based on your experience?

I guess it would depend on the people you plan on using them. Are there any health issues to be concerned about? Are they picky about where they sleep?

I'm very upfront with whoever travels with us about what they are getting before booking our reservations. My father travels to third world countries on building trips for Habitat for Humanity and often stays on sailboats so small spaces don't bother him, nor my sister who was thrilled to get a trip she otherwise couldn't afford to do. Our stay was for a few nights after a cruise too.

If I was doing a longer stay I'd would talk it over with whoever was going to be using them to get their opinion.

I think 9 might be a little crowded at THV. I know that is the capacity but we were 4 adults and 2 kids and it seemed perfect.

We were five in a THV and it was wonderful. Plenty of room. I think we could have had six(adults) and still been perfectly comfortable. My adult DD who is 5'7" slept in the top bunk(a CM unlocked the guard rail) and slept like a baby.:thumbsup2
