ok i'll give it a try today.....

if you could meet one person(dead or alive) who would it be????

I'm going to have to go with Walt Disney! i think he would be very interesting to talk to. or maybe John Kennedy Jr.! he was HOT!

how about you????

I'm going to have to say Walt Disney too. I'd ask him if all these sequels and what they've done with the company and parks were his vision. :D

I know the sequels weren't. :sad2:

My FIL. He passed when DH was only 1 week old, and I would love to know what he thought of the man his son turned out to be.

If it was someone I have already met, the my granddad. I miss him terribly and would love to see him again. He passed when I was 10. I have seen him since, in dreams, but it's not the same. He is my guardian angel and appears when I need him but we don't get to talk.

Yes, I'm weird and can see ghosts!

Anne McCafferty. I love her books.

I love her books too!

This is hard! There are too many people to choose from, mostly writers (Jane Austen, CS Lewis....).

I think though, I'd choose Madeline L'Engle, the author of Wrinkle in Time that just died several weeks ago. It's funny, I don't love everything she wrote and there are several I don't like at all, but she had a unique approach to life through her writing that makes me wish I had met her.

Good question!

If we are going that route, I'd love to see my Granny again and see what she thinks of my babies! She passed with me holding her hand along w/ my now DS11.. she was 2 weeks show of his first birthday...and was due to go in to have tubes placed in his ears 8 days after... I cried the entire time he was in surgery even though the anestisologist I worked w/ and had requested so he carried him in/out of the OR.. anyway, I believe she was w/ us in the waiting room..because I kept feeling my hair being moved back off my shoulders.. DH said he did not do it.. well the only one who ever consoled me by doing that was Granny.. and if I'm having a bad day... I can still feel it happen at times...
She was the first visitor @ the hospital for her first grandchild, DD... unfortunately she never got to see DS7...but I'm sure w/ the antics he does she is enjoying the show! :cloud9:

As for ghosts... Yep, BAMB you need to talk to mom about the ghost at our old house.. I never saw him, but my parents did... thank gosh they decided to take the room him sit in the bay window out all the time! ;)

As a History junkie, that's sooo hard becuase there are so many amazing historical figures I'd love to meet.

But I'd have to go with my Grandma who passed in March, just so I could have a proper goodbye.

I had a hard time coming up with someone, I kept thinking of movie and book characters that I'd like to meet and couldn't think of a real person, but I did come up with one.

I think I would like to meet James Blake. He is a tennis star who has faced a lot of adversity in his young life and has succeeded anyway. He just wrote a book and it is great read, especially for boys who compete in sports, he really stresses hard work and attitude.

If I could chose a ficticious character, I would like to meet Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice and Johnny from Dirty Dancing (Patrick Swayze).

I have 3......my Daddy, he's been gone 3 1/2 years but was diagnosed with Alzheimers in June 08 so my DD never knew her wonderful Grandpa before he got sick, but she loved him just the same.....would love to see my Grandpa, he died just after my first b-day. DM says he doted on me and would love seeing my DD......... and also my Grandma "Blue"(both of my moms parents) she had to most amazing blue eyes, everyone called her Blue, she died 1/1/94 just after I met DH, my DD middle name is for her, she was so excited that I had finally met "The One". She was an assume lady in every since of the word and hope my DD grows up to be just like her.

Okay now I'm sitting here crying, its also my 10th wedding anniversary today so am feeling a bit sad since DH is still out of town until Wed.......

Happy Anniversary!!! :)
I know it's tough when they are out of town.. DH is going to miss DD's birthday from the looks of his travel schedule.. :(

Happy anniversary!

As for the question, I can't decide who I'd like to meet. Fictitious would probably be Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. Or the Weasley twins; they crack me up. But for real life I just cant decide. My husband was just saying the other day if he could be or meet anybody it would be Bush-he wants to know Just what is going through that guys head! As in "what the heck is he thinking?!" Or else it would be some famous mountain biker. I'd also like to see my grandpa again, one last time. I didn't get to say goodbye and it was (still is sometimes) very difficult for me.

Well, my immediate response is Lee Harvey Oswald. You might think that's really strange, but my maiden name was the same. We are not even remotely related to Lee Harvey Oswald. However, I was teased a lot all through school, including by one of my High School teachers! People accused me of being his daughter, that I was just like him, that they were going to call the police on me, etc. Some kids weren't allowed to play with me. I was really a goody two shoes kind of kid, so all of this teasing had no reason, other than that we shared the same last name. My parents also had problems-my father was shot at, my mother had a nurse run screaming from the exam room when she questioned the last name and the doctor said that yes, she was his wife. I guess I would just really like to know if he did shoot Kennedy, and if he did it alone.

By the way, there are lots and lots of Oswalds in the world.

Happy Anniversary Lisa!!! DH and I have rarely spent an anniversary together due to his job.

It stinks huh! this is the first anniversay we haven't been together and he has missed 4 of my birthdays which were even worse.....oh well just 5 days,18 hours and 16 minutes until I pick him up at the airport.....not that I'm counting or anything :lmao: but we get to celebrate in style, Disney style, next weekend

thanks for all the well wishes ladies :goodvibes you helped make my sad, blue day a lot brighter!

Lisa
