What is your favorite park on a rainy day? (They are predicting "thunderstorms" the first day we arrive.)

I was thinking Epcot but its a little spread out.

Epcot is actually my least favorite park on a rainy day because it is so spread out. AK is also not a good one since many of the attractions are outdoors. I'd aim for MGM or MK.

I like MK on a rainy day. It clears the crowds out and there are plenty of shops to duck into and indoor attractions. Just make sure you have a change of shoes/socks and or water-compatible shoes because there are lots of puddles!

Of course, when we were there in September we spent so much rainy time in MK that it sort of stifled the magic. If you can go during a rainy time and a not-rainy time, too, I would recommend it!

If you are in Epcot when it rains either head to The Land or if you are in the showcase head to Mexico. There are places to eat in both of those and you have other options too... Soarin is in The Land as well as The Circle of Life show. Mexico has a fantastic sitdown rest. and an indoor boat ride.

Prepare for the rain before you get to the park! You can buy Disney rain gear at the local Wal-marts for MUCH cheaper... I bought DD a new Disney shirt for $3 there.

I hope that helps!

While any of the parks are great during the rain because it thins out the crowds - especially if you bring ponchos from the dollar store at home (they really are just $1) and a plastic shopping bag to put them into after the rain subsides so the inside of the backpack doesn't get wet - MGM is good because almost every attraction is inside and many of the que lines are covered or indoors. So you only get wet on the walk from one spot to another. Just my two cents though.

I think MK is best in the rain because you get the advantage of the lines being so much shorter. Plus when walking down Main St. you can walk through all the stores and avoid the rain.

I have to agree with everyone here too. MGM is great because almost everything is indoors, including the lines. There are many shows that take up a lot of time which keep you from running place to place so much. That said, since you are there during peak times, I would take advantage of MK and the short lines. I would do Fantasyland/Tomorrowland since most of those rides are close together.

My favorite park on a rainy day is the magic kingdom. Lots of things to do indoors.
