I have just booked our first ressie as a DVC owner at VWL, 2 studios for Nov 30th. Barbara at member services was soooo helpful, what a delightful experiance I could not thank her enough.
Isn't it great? To even feel better about your decision, go over to the Resorts board. Compare your reservation experience to the agony those people are going through. The stress level is so high that it's unbelievable! The "Hakuna Matata" way of making a reservation is one of the overlooked benefits of being a DVC member.
I was having an incredibly bad day a couple weeks ago and I came home and called MS for some plane tickets. I was put in the hold queue and the soundtrack from Splash Mountain started playing. I was on hold just long enough to hear the entire ride when a typically friendly CM came on and got my plane tickets for about $50 less than I had seen them elsewhere. By the time I got off the phone, I was whistling Zip-a-dee-doo-da and feeling good about life.
Member Services: It's not just travel arrangements; it's therapy!
I have only had good experiences too. The only time I had trouble, was not the CMs fault, but the fault of the computers not taking into account the Feb. 28 month end. CMs at MS are always nice and very helpful and knowledgable.
I made our first reservations this week for a DVC trip in October for VWL and Michael was very helpful and very polite. We even chatted about the weather, rain here! It was a very pleasant experience for one who was a bit nervous.
