Throwing coins into fountains/water.......

Do you have an irresistible urge to throw coins into fountains or wells for good luck?
I was rather amused walking through the outdoor section of a hardware store, seeing one of the tiny fountains/water features for sale, and people had even thrown coins into that

( ........ I did notice at Centre Parcs that they have had to put up notices asking people not to throw coins into the water as it is harmful to the fish)
