Are you talking about parking at the resort or parking at the parks?

For parking at the parks we just scanned our MB at the ticket booth and they waved us through, no parking pass needed.

Be Our Guest is the new restaurant in Fantasyland. Lunch is a counter service, but they offer a "Fastpass" (unrelated to the regular system) to on-site guests. You are supposed to get an email, but not everyone seems to get it.

We never got an email, just went to the website and logged in with our room confirmation code and were able to make the FP.

So I was going to book our room, and it asked me for my shipping address and said the following items would be shipped:

Travel documents


It didn't say anything anywhere about Magic Bands. Are they just shipped automatically? Do I have to link tickets first before we get MBs?

Once your reservation is made, within a couple days you should see an option in your MDX profile to customize bands. You choose colors and names, and they will be sent a few weeks before your reservation.

Tickets are not required to get the magicbands. They ARE required to make FP+ reservations.

No, because your credit card is only attached to your resort room account. Credit cards do not link to your MDE account.

So is there any drawback to actually checking-in in person? Or is it just something that's not necessary? We may check out the resort a little, I just don't know that we're actually going to stay the night there. Are the cm's going to say anything if it's clear that we're not staying?

The CMs won't know whether or not you are staying. Only if you have a room booked where a bellman shows you to your room, they will have no idea where you go after leaving the lobby.

Are you just wanting to pick up the paper Parking Pass? You can always check out the resort without checking in.

Just want to make sure I'm correct abut this. With a throw away room and without personally checking in, you still get the free parking. You would just have to let them see (or scan) your MB when entering the parking lot.
Is that correct?

That's what has been reported - the resort stay is linked to your MDE and that's what the Parking CMs will see when they scan your MB. Just make sure to complete your online check-in.

I have a couple of questions and this seems to be the thread where there is no argument on the ethics of the whole thing. Background: we are already staying on site, but we booked a throwaway campsite for extra MBs strictly for extra FP+, both same day and for MNSSHP. Thanks to advice from this thread, we created a separate MDE account for the throwaway.

1. Assuming that we will visit MK with regular tickets on the same day that we are attending MNSSHP, can we link the party tickets to the throwaway bands and get FP+ for after 4:00 p.m.? If so, will it be at the 60 day mark?

2. Assuming we show up at EMH or rope drop every morning, is it best to go straight to a kiosk to add SDFP+ to the throwaway bands, or is it better to enjoy the short lines and hit a kiosk later? If it's better to wait, how long should we wait if we want to have maximum availability?

1. For the most recent parties, the FPs were available for the complete day when booking with a Party ticket attached to an MDE account. It will be at the 60-day mark because you have the onsite room stay.

2. For maximum availability, you should try to visit a kiosk as soon as possible. There are only a few kiosks in each park.

Yes. What will happen at 60 days from your BC check in is that you'd be able to book FP+ for all the days of your BC check-in, including the check-out day...not that it matters for most of those days.

Then, from each day _after_ your BC stay, you will be able to book that day 60 days out. Each day would be handled individually at 60 days. If you only want to do it once, you'd need to wait until 60 days from your _last_ day and then do all of them.

This presumes you have obtained at least a will-call number for the military tickets and linked them to MDX beforehand.

Yes, the magicbands will work earlier. They'll work once you get them, as long as there is also tickets associated with your profile.

Once you hit your 60-day mark for the on-site reservation, I _believe_ that you will retroactively be able to book FP+ for all prior days, subject to the limits of your ticket (i.e. if you have a 5-day ticket, you can book up to 5 days worth of FP+). At least that is how it worked in the past but I haven't seen recent reports to know if it still happens.

To get as much advantage as possible to get A&E especially, you want to book it so that your A&E day is your "check-out" day.

This is true. My throwaway night was on day two of our trip, and once I hit that 60 day mark, all the days before that opened up for FP as well, so I was able to make FPs for day one, which I hadn't been expecting.

Do the paper parking pass allow you to park all the days you plan to visit a park or just the day of your throw away room? I'm so trying my best to figure al this out but I keep getting confused
