ROTFLMAO>.. My dogs are wacky "chase the ball" nut jobs!

This morning.. Bridget is in a PANIC over her tennis ball being under the bed... she wiggled herself under there to retrieve it... now she is busy throwing the ball to herself when I don't get to it in time..

Are any of your dogs "THROW the BALL" addicts? LOL

I don't have a dog, but what your topic said made me think of my son's t-ball team. The kids at that age just looooove to knock each other down trying to get the ball and then hold on to it until it's time for someone else to hit. :teeth:

I don't have a dog, but witnessed the most precious scene the other day. My grandniece, Sammie, who is 18 months old doesn't really "get" the throw the ball game with her dog, Sherman. So, Sherman walks up to her, drops the ball at her feet, waits for her to throw it and gets too impatient....he grabs the ball, runs like the wind to the other end of the yard and back to Sammie where he drops the ball at her feet. And so it goes until Sherman can barely move anymore!
I think this is a case of the dog trying to teach a trick to the owner :teeth:

Too funny for words!

You all will probably think I am crazy but my one cat used to chase paper balls and bring them back to me. That was when she was a kitten. Now if I ball a piece of paper up she will run after it, hit around a few times and lay down on top of it. She must be getting to old. SHe is one weird cat though - probably due to her name. Karma.

Mickey's Sunshine,
My cat does that too! Everytime she hears paper ripping she comes running because she thinks it's time to play! She never brings that little paper balls back though. She runs to them and then back to me me like "Ok, where's the next one!"

Yes, joan, our dog is a Labrador RETRIEVER, and those retrievers, well, that chasing after balls is bred into them!!

We have two labs... and the only time they don't want to fetch is when they are busy battling over the ball! :) :D

Boy does that ball get slimy after a while!

You guys are too funny!

I must tell you that it is really just my younger Scottie who is the "BALL" fanatic. The older guy, Jack, will occaisionally chase the ball.. but most of the time .. after you toss the ball, he sits there, looks you in the face, looks at the ball sitting in the yard, then looks at you as if to say
''IF YOU WANTED THE BALL, WHY THE HEC DID YOU THROW THE THING??" YOU CHASE THE DARN BALL!

By then Bridget is running back with the ball in her mouth ready to go again!

She also loves to KILL the Squeakers in the balls.. They MUST be STIFLED!! LOL

No dogs here, either (unless you count my parent's Shih Tzu who does love to chase her squeaky toys), but Sienna does play "fetch" with me with mousies all the time. No, not real ones, those furry mice you get at the pet store that rattle when you shake them? Sienna LOVES chasing those things, and at least once a week she'll bring a mousie up to me and drop it next to me (or into my hand if I get my hand over there fast enough) and wait for me to throw it. Blaze used to do this, too, but he's grown out of it. I hope Sienna doesn't. :)
