do you remember how great halloweentime and xmas time was with that little BBQ bucket place and the crafts tents?

and the reindeers and goats? lol


i miss it.

too bad they couldnt keep them both.

It was one of my favorite places in the parks, all year round! I loved the goats--even had one who seemed to recognize me whenever I'd come--and it was always so quiet and peaceful on that whole walkway between Fantasyland and Frontierland--sort of a hidden treasure and oasis from the crowds. And it was always a WONDERFUL place for littler kids, with all the animals to pet and see.

Oh yes, I loved that area. At Christmas it was Reindeer Roundup. And the pumpkin carvers at Halloween were awesome. It was a great example that they don't need to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on some high tech flashy (and lackluster) entertainment to be affective.

I cannot begin to tell you how much we miss it! Especially at Christmas with Santa in the cottage, the reindeer, incredible decorations, the cookie decorating station, the great entertainment for kids, the pardoned turkeys, and the little cart that sold the unique Christmas magnets and other great souvenirs. And the lights at night were amazing! It was so peaceful. We have so many incredible memories of Reindeer Round-Up and were devastated when it was wiped out.

Oh, how I miss it!! I loved it, and although I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, I feel it was so much more Disney than Star Wars. I do wish they'd made a separate land for that or put it in DCA. I just don't feel that a post-apocalyptic feel fits in at DL, even though it's an incredible accomplishment to have reproduced it from the movies. I only go over there now if I'm with others who like it, as it gives me the opposite feeling from the rest of DL.

Miss it so much!! Loved the animals and afternoon goat run when Cast Members would take them out of petting area and "run" with them across walkway to back stage area (barn/overnight sleeping)
