Throw away camera's

I've never found any problem with Kodak-great colours and focussing-Fuji is pretty good too if you can get them in USA

Before kids I worked in a photo lab and studio. If I had to use a throw away camera it would be Kodak hand down all the way. Check the exp date on the camera before you buy it. Nancy

We have always used Kodak and had terrific results. I did get some Fuji ones on clearance and they were fine, too!

I buy the ones with 400 speed film. I think 800 has more of a tendency to blur, and you also have to be extremely careful with 800 speed film at the airport because the x-rays will make the pictures all foggy.

Thank you for your replies. My digital camera is broke... my husband has one too that his employer got him to use for work but it takes terrible pictures and last ime we went alot of my pictures were foggy. I never knew that the airport x-ray could cause that....good to know. Thanks again

You can get a lead bag to protect your film and cameras from the airport x rays, I always use them when I used film. Nancy

I've been told that if you use a lead bag, airport security will actually turn up the intensity of the machine in order to see what is in the bag, so that is actually counterproductive -- it is better to just put the film (or camera) into a clear baggie and ask for a hand inspection.

we've never really had any good luck with them

I would agree with Kodak.

We used a disposable camera at Ohana a few weeks ago - every now and then DD gets in the photo taking mood, and we just got the pics developed. They had really amazing clarity and colors! We have used several over the past few days with our litter of kittens - and DD is always taking pictures of them - we have FUJI, KODAK, and Walgreens brand - and the KODAK were by far the best of those shots as well. These were pretty much - all things equal - taking pictures of kittens in the same closet without outside lighting etc......

As long as you are buying a disposable camera, you might want to pick up a waterproof one as well. You can get one for like $8 at Walmart. It's a great thing to have if you are planning on visiting the water parks.

800 speed is better. My father in law works for the TSA (screener at airport) he told me to take it out of our carry on and ask the screener for it to be "hand checked".... when traveling through xray.. we have done this numerous times for travel to Disney & caribbean islands.

I like to buy the underwater disposable cameras to take out to the pools and water parks... :cheer2:
