Throught we had our dates picked.....maybe not!

So we planned on going the 7-15th of August this year.

Well....now my husband is thinking maybe Thanksgiving time. So I am thinking either the week of (sat to the sat after T-day) or the week after (from thanksgiving day to the following Saturday)

Can anyone tell me when might be a better time to go in regards to crowds??? Should we stick with August?

If it is all about crowds- stay with August.

2015 is still missing that week after Thanksgiving, once again bunching up crowds. 2016 the week after Thanksgiving reappears and the resort returns to off season and because everyone visited August 2016 to avoid the holiday crowd fear generated by 2014 and 2015. 2016 will be a great time to visit Disney holidays. Plan for 2016

We went the first week of December a couple years ago, and liked that time. Love the holiday decor and music, and it is not stupid hot. I think the week of thanksgiving would be way more crowded then the week after, as most kids have the bulk if not that whole week off. August could be crazy hot and with the diamond celebration in full affect could be crazy busy too.

If you must go during that time then I would suggest going Thanksgiving Day to the following Saturday. Last year we went the day after T-day to Monday. It was crowded, but not too bad. Like PP said, a lot of kids get the whole week off of T-day now so the parks are packed that week. I had friends who went the Sun before T-day to Wed and they said it was very crowded. I was watching the Mousewait app that week too and they had it in the 90s (out of 100) on Mon/Tue of that week.
I think it's a wonderful time to go though, the holiday décor is simply stunning! Have fun!
