We're heading to Disney the end of October and I found through Travelocity a compact rental for $151.11.
We have never used Thrifty. Any advice? The last few trips we have used Dollar and have been very happy.

Is Thrifty an "okay" company?
Thanks! :)

We've used thrifty before and had no problems with them. They used to be off-site and we still preferred them b/c we trusted them. But now they've moved into the airport which is a plus! Sign up for their Blue Chip service ahead of time and you will get through the check-out line for your car MUCH faster. And Blue Chip is free!

Thanks! That's what I wanted to hear. Just wasn't sure because they were so much cheaper then the others. :)

They were fine. We got a GREAT deal and no hassles when we used them May 2008. Wish they had a good deal for my August trip.... :cutie:

Do the booking directly with the car rental company (Thrifty), not with the travel agent. It is often a hassle to deal with on line travel agents if you want to change something or even if a problem develops.

Car rental prices keep changing. It is not unusual to cancel one reservation and make another. If you have to go through a travel agent, this becomes cumbersome and many folks end up staying with (stuck with) what they first booked.

I have used Thrifty at MCO a few times back when they were off site, and did not have any problems. I was a member of their blue chip program.
