Thrifty Car Rental - Price Difference

We've never rented a car while in WDW. We normally drive our own or Uber but in this case, we have a short trip with limited time, so we would prefer to rent a car.
I've found Thrifty to be the cheapest and already signed up for their Blue Chip program.

I noticed that the rental is cheaper when I'm NOT logged in vs when I am. Its about $50 cheaper.

If I book it while not logged in, will there be any issues with me linking it to the blue chip program? Will I still be able to use the 2nd driver benefit?

Try inputting your location and dates while not logged in, getting a price quote, and then logging in to finish booking. No guarantee, but the price should not change.

unfortunately there is no log in option on any of the quote screens.

Sometimes the quotes don't include all the taxes and fees, that is why it appears to be cheaper. May not be the case, but possibly!

I just booked it, so we'll see. But it matches are the same information just at a lower rate vs when logged in

If your Blue Chip number isn't showing on the reservation, however, you're not likely eligible to go right to your car. I actually did this a few years ago when I accidentally forgot to log in to my BC account. If you see your number on the res, you would be OK.

Thrifty now lets you still bypass the counter even if you aren't a blue chip member or if you dont include your membership number in a rental reservation. There are some extra steps you have to take online. I was a little skeptical at first but believe it or not it works.

That's interesting to know. I'll have to check that out. Thrifty is hard to keep up with. Within the past year they seemed to have discontinued the 'right to the car' approach at most locations. Now you're saying you don't even need to be Blue Chip to do that? Not sure what value Blue Chip brings then. Especially if the rentals, like the OPs, cost more!!!

You will have to upload a copy of your DL and a selfie. The system will validate you. If they don’t already have your CC, you will have to enter that as well. Just before your reservation time they will text you a couple cars that you can choose from along with the stall number. All done. Downside is if you are picky about the car you get
