Thrifty car rental anyone?

Hi Folks,

Trawling for some decent car rental rates for 21 days in August from MCO.
THRIFTY are one of the lower prices found (via netflights) together with Alamo & Budget (via usrentacar)
Anyone used Thrifty before? They seem to be located off the airport.
Any feedback?
Also do ALAMO do anykind of Fastbreak or Express form of queue jumper?

I asked this recently but didn't really get a response. I think they are rarely used by people on here.

We're using them on Tuesday coming, if I can get online when i'm over there, i'll let you know how it went

I think with them being offsite it puts many people off using them. We used Alamo 9 years ago when they were offsite and it was not a great experience, although used Dollar offsite at LAX and thats not too bad.

Alamo do have a fastrack service but don't know anything about it. https://www.alamodirectroad.com/directroad/index.jsp

Thrifty are in same group as Dollar so they should be OK but I have never found them cheaper than Budget.

I just done a map search and found exactly where Thrifty are located. Feel so much better about that now, because I have been studying the MCO Freeway on kissimmee-us192.com, which is useless as Thrifty is located right off of the airport, at the North side of the Beachline Expressway

From their hire place tho, it looks to be VERY easy to get on to the Beachline, much easier than joining from MCO! Their address is 5600 Butler National Dr. Orlando, FL 32812 if anyone is using them and wants to see where they are located.

Yes, its necxt to Hertz car rental, so easy to get your car and away. We use Hertz from there every visit

Hey all Hello from sunny St Petes

DISWolves, we used Thrifty as I said and I have to say I am so far very happy with them. The pick-up outside the airport was quick and easy, we were in their office in 10 mins. Maybe it's because they are off the airport, but it was not busy at all and we were served immediately.

Also, we had only booked an economy car for this trip. The guy at the desk however told me that if I took a Sat nav for $11 per day, I got a free upgrade to.....A CONVERTIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say, we took him up on his offer

If anyone is thinking of using them, I would tell them to go for it
