Three week trip including 7 night

Only if you know for sure you will want to work on stuff. Three weeks sounds like a long time, and you would think there is down time on a cruise. But seriously, if scrapping isn't what you normally do due relax, don't take anything.

IF you do use scrapping as your therapy after a hard day (some folks due, I ain't one of them, scrapping is a good way to get my blood flowing due to the high stress factor for me. ;) ) , then I would kit up things that included the adhesive in the kit. This way I don't have to bring a single other thing that I might forget. If it isn't in the kit, I didn't need it.

Does that help? Or were you wanting us to tell you - "no way, keep all that stuff home!"?

Nope, I wouldn't take any scrapbook stuff with. I took my laptop so I could clean out my memory card, but that's about it. They come on your cabin, and move stuff around when you aren't there, so you can't leave anything out, AND there isn't anyplace to spread out in your cabin.

Take lots of money to buy cruise related scrappy stuff that they usually have onboard, and plan on room in the suitcase for all the navagators, and other paper stuff you will be saving, like special menus, excursion ticket stubs, pics. I had a little box in my suitcase so that stuff didn't get bent up when I was packing for home.

Have a great trip! Oh, and the best tip I ever got for cruising was to pack an over the door shoe holder for the bathroom! If you don't have one packed yet, get one, you won't be sorry. Got all the "stuff" in a place where I needed it, but not on the little counter.

I'm the queen of taking things to do that I don't touch - usually work stuff lol.

I wouldn't bring scrap stuff, seems like you would need to much stuff to make it worthwhile.

My down time activity would be reading.

I sometimes take scrap stuff with me but rarely use it. It depends on how much down tiem you will have- I wouldn't expect much on the cruise but I don't know about the other 2 weeks. I would definately take along a specific small project rather than just anything.

Thanks for the input!

  • Shoeholder - check - couldn't do without it!
  • Books - check - we hit B&N last weekend and I have at least two books and a magazine in every suitcase.
  • Paper taker - check - I already had one in because I'm planning to hit the Crop Shoppe in Jacksonville (my favorite LSS - just not L to me,lol) . Thanks for the reminder, I'll put in another for my flat souvenirs.

It's pretty chilly in Florida right now, so I'm thinking I might not want to go to the beach on Wednesday - and then there's the football games. Thursday we don't have to show up for dinner until 3:30 and I'm not cooking - so I decided to take a project for the morning.

I still haven't finished the album from the all-day album class at CKC. It's all kitted with the letters, stickers everything in a plastic bag, just as I brought it home. So I tossed that, atg, scissors, paper trimmer and a couple pens in my zippered Castaway Club bag and put it in the van. It doesn't take up that much space and If I make some progress it's all good. If I don't, it didn't cost anything to have taken it.

See you in a few weeks!

We took a 2 week cruise, which included one full week crossing the Atlantic Ocean. We figured, one week, nothing but water, we would need stuff to do. So we brought some board games. DID NOT OPEN THE BOX. I was so wiped out from Castaway Cay that I slept for 2 days. Plus, with the eating, and the reading, and the eating, and the cruise activities, and the eating. There was just no interest.

Take a journal to write everything down though!
