Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Purple is the favorite color for many people, and for a good reason. Purple is the easiest color on the eyes. Steno tablets were always printed on purple paper back in the day.
My favorite purple things:
Lavender
Purple nail polish
Purple clothes, because they look best with my white hair

The purple shirt I'm wearing today is from a play I was in years ago. - I'm really grateful for the those memories!

My mom had a lavender kitchen when I was really little (like 1-4, so I don't remember much myself) but I'm grateful she was able to find accessories in a color that wasn't common for kitchens then.

Another vote for lilacs (my neighbor's will be out soon) and adding grapes!

Evening all,

1. Purple shampoo/toner - I try and have silver blonde hair and purple shampoo & toner is a must to try and keep it this colour, although it is a pain having to maintain it while on holiday!

2. Purple & Lilac in general - purple is my favourite colour, although weirdly I don't appear to have very much in this colour! It's a great choice of colour for nail polish too. And whenever i buy a new phone, I usually opt for the one that's purple or get a purple case - annoyingly my current phone is pink as they don't make it in purple!

3. Anaheim Ducks Sweater - I bought this on my trip to LA last year and it is one of my prized possessions. I have to take great care when washing it! Currently cat trapped so can't take a photo of my actual sweater, but it's this one:

purple flowers on a red bud tree
my purple oven mitts from WDW (figment Food and Wine, and Haunted Mansion)
purple in a rainbow

I also wore a purple shirt today without realizing it was purple up day. It is my favorite shirt to wear when it's really hot outside because it is very light cotton and billowy.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I love my comfy clothes!

#1 - SWEATPANTS - I love my sweatpants! They are nothing special, just from Walmart, but they are wonderful. In the winter I put them on right after I get home from work.

#2 - OLD NAVY SWEATSHIRT - This sweatshirt is so old. I wear it every night, over my pajama top, when I’m watching TV before bed. My DH is probably so tired of seeing it every single night - LOL! With summer coming, I won’t be wearing it, so he’ll get a break from looking at it - LOL!

#3 - MY COMPRESSION SOCKS - I stumbled on these a month ago on Amazon, and I don’t remember how. These are ankle high socks and they have been such a blessing for me. I don’t have to wear my big heavy ankle braces to the gym now (I have some ankle issues) and they are really helping with the foot I had surgery on last December. These socks are like a big hug for my feet everyday. I have now bought 4 pairs - 2 black and 2 nude colors. There’s a lot of fun colors I could buy, but I don’t need those. I’ve been wearing these socks every day and they have been great. I’m so so excited to wear these in WDW next month, and not my heavy ankles braces that I’ve been wearing the last 3 trips. These socks won’t be as hot as the braces, which will be great too. My DD22 is actually thinking about buying some for her too.

My "It's Good to be Home" sweatshirt from Hollywood Studios. We were in line for Fantasmic! and I was already cold. I kept telling DD I'd be OK. When we were in front of a store, she said, "I'm not going to listen to you whine thru the show!" She dashed into the shop and came out with a sweatshirt for me. It's light blue and oversized and I wear it all the time- it's part of my "comfty clothes!"

Summer comfty clothes? Hard to consider, and I usually think of comfy clothes as something warm and snuggly. However, I have a couple of loose, flowy dresses/tops that I wear in the summer around the house. I like getting out of my jeans shorts and into something comfy.

AND... I'm back to warm and snuggly with The Bear. It's a fuzzy, hooded, long sleeved, loose pull over that comes down to my knees. It's incredibly warm, and I often change into it and a pair of leggings as soon as I get home in the winter.

Compression leggings and shorts- I am more comfortable when everything is snug and tucked in. I pretty much live in compression leggings and shorts.

Comforter- I require a big heavy comforter to sleep year round. They can get pricey but I found a really good affordable one on Amazon. Yes, that’s one king sized comforter just for me. DH got his own!

Game blanket- several years ago, the kids got me this soft fuzzy Ugg blanket. It’s pretty much my cold weather game blanket. It’s super comfy and cozy.

Honorable mention to all of my running shoes and socks- They don’t get used beyond their intended purpose until they’re later in life but they’re comfy for what they’re needed. My new ASICS are making me rethink my devotion to Brooks. Not that I wear them for anything but speed and distance work but they are so much lighter and super springy.

I love all things purple. Too hard to narrow down. Purple, purple, purple 💜.

Comfy things, love them. Would rather be comfy than fashionable.
1- My "comfy clothes" as I refer to them. The clothes I wear in between my regular clothes and my pj's.
2 - A blue zip up sweatshirt that says Newport across the front. It has seen better days because I wear it so much.
3- The slippers I wear when at home. 🥰

Evening all,

1. Leggings - of various styles and colours, but I know it's going to be a comfy day when I'm wearing leggings.

2. PJs - PJs for me tend to be what I wear in an evening when I want to relax, when I know i don't have to go out again and they're the comfiest clothes I can ever wear.

3. Sweaters & Hoodies - I have many of these in different styles and mostly Disney or interest related ones. Pairing these with leggings is the best way to stay comfy!

cuddly sweatshirts!! (I'm wearing a really old Winnie the Pooh one right now.)

socks!! I hate going barefoot in the house because my feet get cold. I have tall fuzzy socks for winter and short, lightweight ones for summer.

PJs - I love changing into pajamas to lounge around before bed, or staying in them longer on lazy mornings when I don't have to get ready right away.
