Three Things...Gratitude Thread

As an old man who participates in a downtown vendor/farmers market January -March weekends... I love the feature of heated seats during my 20 minutes drive...my back is relaxed and ready to unload the infrastructure of selling my goods.

During the summer 🌞 🌞 🌞 allows me to complain about the 108 heat shown on the dashboard... I don't travel over 108

I LOVE the heated seats too. I find that using them helps me relax on my way to and from work, which can be very trying and exhausting, especially this time of year.

I really do need to replace my wipers!

Cooled Seats- since heated seats were already mentioned, I’ll shout out my seat coolers. They aren’t as impactful as I’d hoped but they do still help cool me off when I’m feeling a bit warm.

Push button start/entry- I really hate having to put a physical key in the ignition, so I love just keeping my key tucked in my bag.

Power lift gate with interior button- Long gone are the days where I have to manually open the heavy gate…especially in the rain/cold.

Round things
Peace sign, Yin/Yang symbol
Hidden Mickeys
Pizza (round, triangle slices, in a square box)

Car stuff
All safety features, seatbelts, warning beeps, etc.
My car is so old, it is still analog, but my DH’s has all the bells and whistles of being able to connect to maps, apple play music, and otehr cool stuff
Being able to lock and unlock with my thumb with the keys in my bag

Morning all,

1. Heated seats & remote heating control - another vote for heated seats but I'll tie this in with the ability to pre-heat my car from the app on my phone, meaning I never have to get in when it's cold during the winter (presuming I remember to pre-heat that is).

2. Android Auto - the ability to sync direct with my phone to use my maps and Spotify is a feature I couldn't live without. Gone are the days of having an outdated sat nav!

3. Cheap to charge - while I'm still not 100% on electric cars, I do love how cheap mine is to charge at home compared to what i used to pay for fuel.

Good Monday Morning!

I missed Indiana day, which is my state. It’s a good state to live in. I don’t want to die here, but I can’t complain about it to much after being here my whole life. I’m just tired of the winters.

For today…..

#1 - THE BEAUTIFUL TREES IN THE FALL - As much as I don’t like colder weather, I do enjoy looking at all the different tree and bush colors in the fall.

#2 - WATCHING BIRDS - I don’t go out of my way to watch birds, but when I see Cardinals, Blue Jays, Hummingbirds, Blue Herons and others by my house, I will always stop and watch them.

#3 - BUMBLEBEES - They love my begonias and I always find them fascinating how they go from flower to flower working hard. They have never bothered me and when I’m watering my flowers I try to not blast them with the hose so they can just keep on keeping on.

Heated Sests
Five way adjustable steering wheel - 🛞 I’m short so I liked it I can get my steering wheel right where I need it
Adjustable seats with lumbar adjustment
And a switch for memory that you can just hit and it puts everything right back where you set it mirrors and all that way if somebody else drives a car I can put it right back where I want it by punching one button
Driver assistance - let you know if you’re too close to another car assist you in backing up it does a lot of things it’s come in very handy when in tight spots

Sunrise - I think it's one of my favorite parts of my morning walk. I'm usually somewhere along the lake at sunrise and it often really makes my day and puts me into a positive headspace.

Birds - I'm not sure if it's just the birds or having Merlin to help me identify them. A couple of days ago, I walked outside and saw what I thought were woodpeckers fighting over a tree limb. Thanks to Merlin and my fascination with wildlife, I discovered that it was not just woodpeckers, but two different kinds fighting for the limb. It was a Red-Bellied vs. what looked like a pair of Downy Woodpeckers. The Downy duo appears to have won the battle. Chirping along in the background were American Robins, a Yellow-rumped Warbler, some Northern Cardinals, and a Chipping Sparrow.

Mountains - I'm not sure what it is, but I love mountains. I do have preferences, but I'll take some sort of mountains over none. Needless to say, I was happy to have a bit of a mountain fix when I was in Phoenix/Mesa last weekend.
