Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Evening all,

1. Nature & scenic landscapes - there's nothing better than seeing green trees and fields for miles and miles.

2. Key lime pie - I love a tart citrus dessert and this is one I also love to make too.

3. Green jumper - I have an emerald green knitted style jumper that I love to wear as it's bright and so cosy.

Green Olives - One of my favorite drinks is an extra dirty vodka martini. What makes it dirty is the juice from those green olives. The garnish olives also soak up some of the vodka and become their own little potable snack.

Greenbelts - I love our forested greenbelt trails so much. I find so much peace out there.

Avocados - I always have some handy. I am content to eat them on their own, but I'll also incorporate them into my cottage cheese or use them as a sub for mayo when eating tuna. I even sometimes blend them in with my homemade hummus.

Another fan of green veggies: broccoli, spinach, asparagus, and English cucumbers. (Tigger-thanks for the avocado and tuna idea. I always put a little hummus in my tuna salad as well)

Green jumper - I have an emerald green knitted style jumper that I love to wear as it's bright and so cosy.

I have one too! My aunt made it, and I feel the hug whenever I wear it.

Green glass - I like the way light shines through colored glass, and I have a green railroad insulator that my Dad gave me.

Good Saturday Morning

I used to love making all sorts of Bundt Cakes, but stopped when I wanted to drop some more weight. I don’t mind saying….I make a pretty awesome Bundt Cake

#1 - ORNAMENTS - I love all our ornaments, but one set I really love more than the others - they are red with gold glittery swirls - so pretty!

#2 - OREO BALLS & PEANUT BUTTER BALLS - I’m making all of them tomorrow (for Christmas). It’ll end up being about 200 balls when I’m done. I’m undecided if I’m making my whiskey balls and Amaretto balls next weekend. If I decide to, that’ll add about about 100 more balls. I make lots and lots of balls this time of year.

#3 - TIRES & WHEELS - I’m getting them rotated today and I have a feeling I’m gonna be told I need new tires.

1. My Pyrex pie plates that I will use to make the pumpkin pies that my family loves so much;
2. The little round table in my breakfast area - so many conversations there -- some sad and some happy - but always a place to be together with loved ones;
3. My wedding band that represents almost 46 years of love.

Evening all,

1. Hooped jewellery - huggie hooped earrings tend to be my go to for day to day wear, and I also have a hoop in my nose & other none lobe ear piercings. Love them as they're just easy to wear and really comfortable.

2. Round desserts - I mean there's so many desserts that are round in shape - chocolate fondant, cheesecakes, sponge cakes, profiteroles, souffle, little mini mousse cakes, tarts, pies, scoops of ice cream... need I say more?

3. Pizza - one of my favourite treat meals and something I'm craving right now!

My orange Tupperware dry measuring cups I’ve had them for decades love them

My tall Disney Starbucks coffee cups I use every day for my ice coffee- I buy at least one every time I go to Disney

My ten thousand Disney mugs I’ve collected over the years that I just can’t seem to part with !! I dont want to count how many I have but trust me it’s a bunch yes I use them

(There's nothing for scale in the photo I found online, but they're really long, super thin sheets of taffy. I used to get them at a specific tourist shop that was our usual stop on a summer road trip.)

@PollyannaMom I remember these! Were they about a foot long, maybe 3" wide, super thin, and wrapped in waxed paper! I loved them!

Round things...
>Reeses pieces. I'm not a huge candy fan, but I really love these. I only buy them when I'm flying somewhere. I figure that keeps a limit on them!

>Stress balls. It's been A Week, to say the least. Having these to squoosh has helped. They are also really nice when it's cold and my hands stiffen up; getting older isn't easy.
