Three Things...Gratitude Thread

1.  Disney - pretty much an obvious choice really and for which I'm grateful for in many ways!

2. Dresses - I love a nice dress, whether a casual summery one, a smart work dress or something glitzy and sleek for a night out.

3.  Denim - jeans, jeggings, jackets, skirts, love a bit of denim, its such a versatile fabric and a wardrobe staple.

Happy Sunday Friends

#1 - Dishwasher - I love my dishwasher. I’d hate to have to wash all the dishes every night. Out of all the appliances I have, this one I could most easily live without, but I wouldn’t be happy about it - LOL!

#2 - Dining Room - I’m always so grateful for our dining room when we have family gatherings. When we don’t have family gatherings, I enjoy doing my puzzles on the dining room table. This room also served as my DD21’s classroom during COVID when she was having to do HS online.

#3 - Decks - We have a nice front deck, back door deck and pool deck - all that my DH built. All 3 we use regularly.

#4 - Bonus - DVC Contract - We just closed on our first one (resale) on June 24th and I’m grateful that we decided to purchase this. We are hoping to use this first at Aulani in Hawaii next year.

DVC - so I can enjoy all the beautiful resorts

Disney Cruiseline- so I can go to faraway places so I can be out on the ocean so I can go to other countries and enjoy seeing them and all their unique things and especially so I can go to the beach🏝️

My Deck - I love sitting out on my deck I’m watching all the wildlife I often see deer 🦌 and the rabbits 🐇 you just never know what my pop by

Let's explore the book of Job about wild donkies 🫏🫏🫏🫏 and if you read to the end you can earn trivia money in the same manner as King David motorcycle

Job 39: 5 who has let the wild donkies go free in the Arizona plains

Job 30:7 among the bushes they bray... except for Oatman..they live downtown

Job 11:12 but a stupid man will get understanding when a wild donkey colt is born a man 🤣 🤣 🤣 ... there you have it..a man can make a jack *** of himself

Dear DaisyDuck, I am grateful for "D named," you :)

Day by day by my faith belief walking with and I pray serving God as called.

Daily devotional

Dad enjoys reading a physical copy of the daily newspaper and doing the crossword puzzle in it.

Daily check into this loving thread! :)

Doughnuts as in the memory of my late friend Sue and the blessing dad and I had of bringing her doughnuts on her actual 100th birthday back in 2023.

Today's kind of an eclectic "holiday" -

But the picture provides some inspiration nonetheless...

Today's Topic (Mon, 7/14) - 3 things you're grateful for with numbers or markings on them

Happy Monday Friends!

#1 - Tape Measures - For 25 years, as a custom picture framer, I used a tape measure all day long. You can’t live without them in that business.

#2 - Calculators - I’m terrible with math and I need a calculator to do math quickly. Can I do a lot of math with a paper & pencil? Yes, but who has time for that? Can I do mental math? Only if it’s easy - those numbers get twisted up very easily in my brain.

#3 - TV Remotes - I remember living during a time of no TV remotes and I’m glad we don’t now - LOL!

Numbers are my daily lifeblood 🤣🤣🤣
All day long nothing but numbers ….accounting person here

Tape measure - it’s crazy how often you need one!!

Ruler - I use one almost every day but not for measure to hold my spot when I’m i key numbers from a large spreadsheet

I’ll second a TV remote

Microwave- one of the greatest things ever invented

Computer keyboards- mine has a 10 key calculator on it so helpful since I do accounting

I don’t wear a watch, but I recently cleared out my jewelry box and found my broken watch pendant, a gift from DH and I remembered just how much I loved wearing it.

I use a ruler when I make pie crust, and I always make pies when our younger son’s family come to visit. They were here last week, and we made two pies together!

I enjoy the number game Nerdle, and with others, I post my results in the Games section here!

Good morning :)

So many wonderful answers already. Thank you, always, friends for sharing.

I think of measurement these days by my regular waking route. I always go the same way. By God's grace alone I am now able to steadily use my walker to complete it in under 15 minutes. God is making me getting stronger and continuing to work toward regaining normal mobility happen. His angel and my friend S is immeasurably step by step helping me get their.

Hymn numbers. Pre pandemic my very favorite hymn was #4 in the hymnal used by my church: Holy, Holy, Holy.

Uno is sure a fun number based card game to play and so is Rack-o.

Such wonderful news, @flyingdumbo127 !!!

"D" things...
Obviously Disney. I am excitedly awaiting my solo trip in November; it'll be trip #3 for 2025!
My Daughter. She is the light of my life and brings joy to my soul. She is my best travel buddy and favorite person to be with.
My dishwasher. Since I've been using it, my nails and hands are in much better condition. Even using gloves, my hands would get damp/wet, my cuticles would crack, and my nails would peel. THey are in much better shape since I stopped handwashing everything.

Things with numbers...
Charts/tables/graphs. I can always envision data and results better/more easily when they are displayed graphically than when described verbally.
Books!! Although I read mostly on my Nook now, I still track the page numbers so I can see how much more exciting reading I have left before sadly finishing the book.
Recipe cards. I still follow family recipes and like it when there are exact measurements so I can make family favorites the way my mom and nana made them (although I have one cake recipe that calls for "butter the size of an egg!")
ETA Games!! Farkle, Cover Your Assets, Rummikub.
