Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Here in Yuma Arizona.. Southwest US.. they shut off the cold water to conserve electricity that was being used to Cool the water so on June 1st the cold faucet spews forth lukewarm water...so warm that you don't need to use hot water to shower ... thankfully when I turn on the outdoor faucet I can fill a bucket with cold water to fill dog dish and small birdbath... about a bucket full after you can do dishes on the hot water coming out of the ground

1. A/C especially since I live in Florida now.

2. My fan. I’m old and have never been able to sleep without it.

#1 - Scrabble - I love playing Scrabble! I play on my phone since no one here wants to play with me (yes, I’m whining about that - LOL!)

#2 - Sudoku - My favorite thing to do on road trips (actual book not an app)

#3 - Roulette - I enjoy playing at a casino and on an app on my phone.

Squares:

Games: Game boards, jigsaw puzzles, playing four-square on the playground in elementary school.

Food: Blondies, brownies, lemon bars, rice krispie treats... basically ANY bar treat!

Items: Books (ok, most are rectanglar, but still...), my nana's corningware 8x8 baking pan, the wooden earring box that DH bought for me from a trip to Muir Woods (he was at a conference and I had to stay home, so that was my souvenir).

This is the 2 year old puppy..a true Shar pei in the sense she a guard dog 24 hours...these favorite squares of hers elevate her to guard us from the enemy... feline domestica

Good morning friends

White bread squares along with an American cheese square slice is a daily staple.

The keyboard squares I am typing on now are a blessing to be able to see and use.

Definitely napkin squares. So very handy indeed.

Came back to add, 3x3 or so card squares with a cute design on one side are such fun to write a note on the back of and I pray spread extra fun, faith, and cheer with mailing or handing out.

Every yard in this 60 street development has these bricks from Mexico in front of their property.. laid down in squares.. to protect from blowing sand

I would second books, games and square foods like brownies and blondies. I'd also add chocolate bars with square(ish) pieces onto the foods list, as well as the blueberry wheat cereal I have for breakfast most days.

Also keyboard squares @FlyingDumbo, genius! Certainly something I take for granted despite using every day, although I'm not so grateful that they make me do work...

Good Saturday Morning

#1 - Air - Always grateful for the air I breathe

#2 - Apps - i have several apps on my phone and tablet that I use every day. Some are for entertainment (Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and more) and some are to make my life easier (banking, shopping, recipes and more)

#3 - Amazon - I’m definitely grateful for Amazon. They make life easier so I don’t have to drive around shopping for items and they employee a lot of people.

#4 - Angels - Specifically Archangels. St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael and all the archangels….Pray For Us!

Alaska I’m not from the state of Alaska but it is one of my most favorite states to visit I think it’s the most beautiful state ever don’t get me wrong a lot of our states are pretty but just my opinion I think Alaska is the most beautiful state in the union ymmv

I love their wildlife they have an abundance of wildlife from the moose to the Bears to the fish Alaska’s got it all

Their mountains they are absolutely gorgeous I can still see them in my mind when I’m sitting here talking about them

The water it’s absolutely beautiful so blue and full of the most adorable seals whales and I seen dolphins I seen all kinds again animals we got to see baby seal being born

Glaciers absolutely gorgeous

The people friendly kind nice people every people that we met up there was just so nice and friendly and so kind so enjoyable to talk to it’s so interesting talking to them and learning about how they live and the things that they do so many people up there live off the grid

Absolutely enjoyed my time in Alaska and would love to go there again and again it is the most beautiful state there’s so many things to see and so many things to do you can never run out of things to do in Alaska they have one of the best national parks in the whole United States Katmai where you can go watch the Bears fish for salmon
And we’re lucky if we can’t go that we can watch it on a WebCam
And yes they have other beautiful national parks and I was lucky and fortunate that when I was there I got to see bears Because they are one of my most favorite animals in the world There’s nothing cuter than baby bears
