Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Harry Potter Books
Kingdom Keeper Book series
Kids clothes - young adult - i’m a petite person I can wear kids clothes so I’m always happy when I can find something it’s age-appropriate for me to wear it fits me better than trying to find something in the adult department that doesn’t fit me well

Kids things . . .

Coloring books - I find they reduce stress a lot because I am focusing so closely on what I’m doing. I have a couple of different Disney ones and a big box of Crayola colored pencils.

Theme parks - They bring out the kid in all of us. I don’t like thrill rides so I am usually enjoying the more family friendly fare.

Holiday candy - Whether it’s a chocolate bunny for Easter, a Trick or Treat bucket of fun size treats, or a candy cane in a Christmas stocking, one bite brings back all the good memories of childhood.

1. Lego - i know nowadays Lego isn't just for kids but to me it still feels that way especially as it was something I really enjoyed as a kid. I love all of the film and tv themed sets and really enjoy the act of building them from scratch. If I won the lottery, I'd be using part of it to invest in all of the Lego sets I've wanted for years and have a room full of them!

2. Disney/Theme Parks - again not specifically for kids but they make me feel like a kid regardless of the type of ride and I love this feeling so much.

3. Kids/Junior size trainers - I'm fortunate enough to have small enough feet to just fit into kids/junior sized trainers as well as adults, and the kids versions are great as they're usually a lot cheaper and more colour options.

Another thing I loved as a kid and still enjoy popped up in today's holidays:

which, along with the heat wave, inspires...

Today's Topic (Thu, 6/26) - 3 cold things you're grateful for

Happy Thursday

#1 Freezbone - These are the best for dogs and cats. My Otis gets one multiple times a week to keep him cool in this heat and for enrichment. He loves them and gets so excited when he sees me make them for him. Here’s a Iink to check it out….

#2 - Protein Shake - I love the protein shakes I make with my Nutribullet after my workouts. This time of year I add more ice to make them extra cold.

#3 - Dilly Bars - I always have them in the freezer and I normally eat one every Saturday night when we watch a movie. It’s just enough ice cream to get my ice cream fix, but not to much that it’s over indulging

Air conditioning❤️
Freezers - keeps my ice cream in my popsicles cold 🥶
An ice cold shower after you’ve been outside working in the yard I don’t take a cold shower very often I usually take an extremely hot shower but after I’ve been outside working in the yard I like a nice cold shower

Kid things...
>Going to Disney on vacation! SO many people don't understand this (their loss!!)
>Running thru the sprinkler. I get motion sick in pools so I avoid them, so jumping thru the sprinkler on a hot summer afternoon is always fun.
>Play-Doh. I can spend hours with the little guy, making things from Play-Doh.

Cold things...
>A big ol' frozen margarita!
>I have a neck fan that has gotten some use this week. I know, I know. People say it's blowing hot air at you, but that hot air feels pretty cooling when it's blowing on your neck and the "real feel" of the day is 108 degrees (I'm looking at you, last Tuesday!).
> Diet Coke from McDonalds. It's weird. I don't buy soda at home EVER, and don't order it when we are out. However, when my sister and I go on long drives, or the weather is super hot, I want a diet Coke from Mickey D's. I don't get them elsewhere, has to be from McDonalds. I don't know why this is such a treat, but it is!
