Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Dear Bobbi, you brought back a memory from my very early childhood. Two of my very favorite colors were and still are pink and green. My dad would tell me made up stoties about two friends named Pink Pink and Green Green! I have no clue what any of their adventures were just that dad sure told them with love.

1. Pink lipstick - specifically Maybelline's Superstay Matte Ink in various pink shades. My go to for everyday work wear, not only are they beautiful shades that look good, they last all day 💋

2. Strawberry milkshake - I've been thankful for this before but its one of my favourite drinks, love anything strawberry flavour and McDonald's strawberry shake is the best around.

3. Pink joggers - i have a pair of pale pink, denim style joggers that sound awful but they're super nice and comfy and great for wearing for a casual day out.

2. Strawberry milkshake - I've been thankful for this before but its one of my favourite drinks, love anything strawberry flavour and McDonald's strawberry shake is the best around.
So........ when you tour Arizona... do not try anything Culver's...it will ruin you...best to not know the best...IN OUT..
Never tried their shakes...20 cars in drive thru must have some significance

36 Culver's in Arizona and not one in the sunniest place on earth 😭😭😭😞😭🏜️😭😭😞😞

Today's Topic (Mon, 6/24) - 3 things you've been grateful for on a Disney trip!

Good Morning Friends

This is to numerous to count, but I’ll narrow it down to our last trip in March….

#1 - Photopass Cast Members - We utilize them everywhere and 90% of the time time the pictures are great.

#2 - Free Water Everywhere - DD21 and I are not big soda drinkers and I’m always so grateful that we can grab some free water when we eat something, and some places even have free water sitting out for people to take their own. I still take a few bottles of water with me, but it’s nice to not have to open them unless I have to.

#3 - High Security - I feel so bad for the security people - they get so much crap when they need to check bags. I/we are very grateful for them and the security is one of the reasons why we love returning - we feel safe there. When we have to get our bags checked we always say thank you - ALWAYS! I also often tell them that I appreciate them and what they do. In March 2023 as we were leaving The GF I was getting my bag checked and I was chit chatting with the security guy and I asked him what’s the worst he found and he said that recently he found a gun in someone’s bag as they were leaving The GF to get on the monorail 😳. He said he very much appreciates when people like us don’t give them a hard time because all they want is to keep everyone safe.

SLO - you forgot the snipers on the roofs - Disney is very serious about keeping you safe !!!

It was so funny we were down there one year and the Obama girls decided to go to Disney I think they were at the Magic Kingdom we walked out of Bay Lake and there was all these security people there it was so funny and it was because the Obama girls decided they wanted to go to Disney🤣🤣🤣 I was also lucky to be at DISNEY when Princess Diana was there DISNEY is very serious about their security and they do an excellent job of it

In the second thing is they do an amazing job during hurricanes have been down there several times with hurricanes they go above and beyond they make you feel extremely safe and they take excellent care of you

In the same thing can be said if you’re on cruise ship and you hit storms like a hurricane they take amazingly great care of you have been through a really bad storm during a cruise I never once was concerned I felt safe I felt the captain had everything under control and he kept us well informed

Good morning friends :)

Watching the Candlelight Processional brought me such joy. God willing, I will get to view it at Disneyland again with my dad and friends, too.

Dad and I God willing do have a very special Disneyland trip to look forward to later this year or next.

A great view onetime of some Christmas Fantasy parade floats from the outside part of the Alice in Wonderland ride.

I am so far behind and probably will fall even further behind after today, so I'm just going to go with today's gratitude.

Transportation - It's not perfect but it's better than having to drive our own vehicle in and out of all of these places. From the monorails, buses and boats to the trams and skyliners, I'm grateful that Disney has a hand in helping us get from pt A to pt B.

Table Service Dining - It's my favorite part of trip planning, right down to stalking the hard to get things or times. It's been a huge part of all of our trips after having the kids and it's often the only time during our trips where I truly feel relaxed.

Customer Service - Mind you, I've had my share of horrible CMs that belong on a wall of shame, but like so many of us...I've had so many more who have gone above and beyond to help out with our trips. It's when things go really wrong or you need that extra dose of pixie dust that the exceptional ones truly stand out.

The trip in 1992, Mom, Dad, my sister, DH, our two sons and me. It was special because my dad really made it fun for our boys. I will never forget the laughter from that trip.

The trip in 2004, when we celebrated Mom’s 85th birthday!

The trip in 2006, a 4 generations trip! All of our grandchildren as well as our sons and mom!

1. Single rider - as someone who seems to be spending more and more time travelling solo, the single rider lanes are such a time saver when it comes to queuing. I just wish every ride had them!

2. Food & wine festivals - I second WDWEPCOT on this one. I love trying new foods and drinks and these festivals offer such variety, to the point where there isn't enough time to sample everything!

3. Ride photos - I love the fact that a large proportion of the WDW rides have ride photos that are automatically included within the park tickets (at least the ones that I buy) as theyre such a great memory of the trip. Even better when you finally remember where the camera is and can pose for it 😂

3 things you've been grateful for on a Disney trip:
  • the time a second queue opened right when we got to Haunted Mansion
  • a particular early breakfast reservation that got us some really great "empty park" pics when DS was little
  • the time we splurged on the nighttime safari at AKL
