Three Things...Gratitude Thread

80’s
1. Like @slo, I met my husband in the 80’s when we were worked at the same after school/weekend/summer job and attended neighboring high schools. I was 17 and he was 16 when we started dating. We have been together 37 years, but only married for 27.
2. Driver’s license. I never felt more free than I did the first time I drove alone.
3. Graduating high school and most of college. I went to a good public high school, got into good colleges and I am grateful for my education. Very grateful.

(Fri, 4/7) - 3 things you're grateful for from the 1980s
1. Me!
2. Nintendo - So many great memories of playing Super Mario Brothers 3, in particular
3. I'm going to have to agree that there were some pretty epic TV shows released in the 1980s.

Throat - ok I know it sounds weird - but I’ve had two spinal surgeries on my neck - they have to completely move your throat out of the way - in doing that a second time - you lose your voice ( often permanently) and it causes issues swallowing - I’ve got lucky I got my voice back eventually ( took a LONG time ) but swallowing will always be issue - it’s better on most items - I’m thankful I have a tough throat !!!

Thumb - keeping with my theme - same stupid injury causes me horrible problems with my thumbs ( crazy I know ) I’m thankful when my thumbs are not acting up and are working fine - you need thumbs to do things - hard to do stuff without thumbs !!

Therapy - physical / mental - both can be hard don’t think one isn’t - I think (my opinion only ) people who are brave enough to go tackle emotional issues are really the ones dealing with some serious pain - fighting your head is no easy battle - it takes years and a total life change - wish it was so easy as doing a few exercises !! But I’ve done both and physical hurts too but in the end just like the other one it helps !! I’m grateful for both

Bonus - Thumbtacks !! Love my bulletin board !

Ooooh, I didn't think of those, but I've always loved bulletin boards too, so I'll definitely second it!

Thumbtacks
Theater - I loved doing the senior play when I was in school, and going to my nieces' productions when they were involved in drama and dance.
Theories - One of my favorite things to watch on YouTube is fan theories (Pixar, Harry Potter, etc.)

Thermoelectric cooler - a cooler that you plug in instead of using ice. I have two, one that fits in the middle of the back seat of the car, is padded on top like an armrest console and holds a half dozen cans or bottles (great for road trips) and the other is the size of a standard chest cooler, but can sit on its side and be used like a fridge. They plug into the 12v outlet in the car and have an adapter to plug in to a regular outlet. The big one got a lot of use at Disney before they started putting a fridge in the room.

Theme parks - especially Disney parks

Thread - had to mend some clothes today

(Sat, 4/8) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with "TH"
1. Theater
2. Thanksgiving
3. This Thread on the boards here. :)

Th

1. My maiden name!
2. Therapy - physical or mental
3. Thesaurus - teaching DD to expand her already extensive vocabulary
So.... is this where I share my two skits that I've written that have talking reference books?

I rarely love what I write, but I love these two. I had so much fun writing them.
