This was late 1994 for their Voodoo Lounge tour. Not my pics or the venue where I saw them, but it had this big fire breathing piece up at the top that reminded me of a snake (I think I read somewhere that they called it Cobra) and then all of these inflatable elements.

How we ended up so close is a fun story involving crazy luck tied to a cumbersome and inefficient system. A bunch of us decided we wanted to go, but only one of us had the time in our schedule to wait in the line. The line wasn't actually for tickets. It was for a wristband to determine your place in the actual line once ticket sales officially opened. Wristband numbers were drawn at random, so the only benefit to getting in that line early was to be in first group...since those would be the spots closest to the stage. I can't remember if that first group was 150 or 250 people but our friend was pretty far towards the back of that first group. Somehow, she ended up with wristband #2. I forget how many tickets she was allowed to buy (I want to say 6), but she and the person that had wristband #1 bought up the entire section considered front row center.

Side note- I still remember how shocked I was with how skinny Mick Jagger's legs are in person. Sure, he looks slender on tv, but nothing prepared me for being up close with legendary rock star skinny. I was a toothpick back then and I remember thinking he made me feel a little plump. 🤣

Softball bats.... they had yet to invent air guitars... dad was team captain and he had a bag full that We would drag out and get on the stage of the abandoned dude ranch dance hall and strum and sing way to 1966 "Sunny "... which has some history

Ray Stevens 1969... guitarzan... which also led to many talent shows

Our winter visitor owner from across the street bring his guitar to the outdoor vendor market that I help facilitate and plays gospel and Johnny Cash genre music

My DH was carrying a guitar when I met him. And the rest, as they say, is history.

One of my favorite concerts was seeing Jeff Beck and when he was done, Santana. And then at the end they played together. Absolutely amazing guitar playing!

I was so happy when I found the acoustic guitar music that used to play in the area that was called the Garden Grove in AK (near where FotLK is now) on YouTube.

I think I saw the same Stones tour! So many pyrotechnics! It was pouring rain and we stood on our chairs the whole time (folding chairs set up on the field near the stage at RFK in DC) We were very close-not front row, but about 10 rows back. My sister in law worked in advertising and was given the tickets and couldn’t go, so she messengered them to us. Totally fortuitous. (although I also felt bad because she was a major Stones fan)

Good Wednesday Morning!

#1 - DH & DD21 - Both are K names. They are my rocks and my most favorite people in the world. I’m so grateful and blessed for both of them ❤️❤️

#2 - Kitchen Utensils - They are all so helpful when cooking or serving food. Speaking of which, I need a new pizza cutter.

#3 - Ketchup - I love ketchup on my burgers and DD21 loves ketchup on lots of things. At one time she’d go through ketchup at record pace. We used to tease here that she’d put a straw in it and drink if we’d let her - LOL!

⬇️. Picture of DD21, when she was 3 years old, after asking for ketchup at Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge.

Kennel - my dog’s own personal space

Knobs - never realized how much I like them until I had cabinets that didn’t have any and it was so much fun trying to find the exact ones I wanted and I enjoy them tremendously!!

Keurig... can you believe it.. I am speechless

Kettle brand chips out of Oregon.. decades of consumption from driving the car to my desert 🏜️ 🏜️ patio chair

Koinonia... this morning asst pastor and I greeted each vendor as they arrived in the 6:30 dark Arizona morning and all seemed to be in good spirits even though the forecast was cold clouds and wind ... it's their community of bringing product and commercial endeavors to customers who also enjoy the koinonia

Happy Thursday Friends!

#1 - Dunkin’s Breakfast Croissant Sandwich - DD21 and I love them! We ate so many of these when she was playing travel ball. When we had the dreaded at 8 AM game, we would leave the hotel early, get our sandwiches, and get to the field super early so we could relax & eat our breakfast and get a good parking spot.

#2 - Pizza - We don’t get this every week - we get it every other week on Pizza Sunday. The other weekends we eat frozen.

#3 - Beef Sandwich - We have several places by us that make a really good beef sandwich. We don’t get them very often, but when we do, I just love them!

Still love them !!!

Me and DoorDash have become really good friends lately!!!

And thanks to DoorDash just about any restaurant within a 10 mile radius and one of my favorite things to get is a cheeseburger!!! 🍔 and this is usually about 10 o’clock at night!!! And fries with that of course 🍟

Never heard of take out till 1981 when arriving at basic training 🪖 🪖 and the drill sergeant says.. you are some unlucky S.O.Bs..you have me for the next 8 weeks and the base commander just ordered dominos to no longer deliver to the barracks

I have yet to order take out... BUT a Panda Express is opening just down the street and the food will still be warm

I am a fussy eater as well as someone with multiple dietary issues/restrictions, so I rarely eat in a restaurant or order take-out. We get pizza every Friday when our DGD is here and that has always been my favorite take-out food. (Now I eat some of the cheese and that’s about it)
Sorry to sound so negative, but I am trying my best to take care of myself and the only way I can control what I eat is to avoid restaurants. (Except at WDW, of course)

That's OK, not every category will resonate for every person. I didn't know anything to say about the Elmo character when that was the category.
