Three stroller kids?

My sister and her family are planning their first WDW trip next February-- we may join them. It is their tenth anniversary and they want to do something with the kids. They haven't had a proper vacation in a while. I have long extolled the virtues of WDW as a great place to visit for parents with babies, toddlers and preschoolers... it is one of the few places you are welcomed with your kids, not scowled at. Etc.

But they have more of a challenge than I have dealt with: Twins, Age 3, and a toddler of about 15 months. Is this manageable? Realistically they all need strollers right? Or the twins could trade off?

Any advice and tips you can give for me to pass along are appreciated. They seem to be hooked on the idea of offsite-- one of the vacation homes... I'm an onsite junkie but I know the vacation homes offer a lot of space for a good price, so maybe that is the better option for them.

Thoughts? Advice? I want them to have a great vacation, they've had an exhausting last few years!

Hey, I think that this trip is very possible. We just got back last week from WDW with 10 month old triplets and a 4 year old. We took a double and a single stroller. I do think that the twins would need a stroller, plus it is an easy way to keep up with them during busy times. We got 2 rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter. They were adjoining rooms and it was great. At night, we put the babies down in one room and watched tv, etc. in the other. I think it worked well. But I also have seen vacation homes for less than what we paid for the 2 hotel rooms. So that part is up to you. I do think that this is a vacation that they would love and enjoy the time away.

I took three kids who were nineteen months apart several times (twin DS's and a DD) and always used a double stroller and a single stroller. I continued to use two strollers until they were 5, at least because they could take a break when they got too tired - otherwise they fought over who got to ride when they were tired and who got to walk when they weren't. This year I will have DD:2, DS:4, DD:6, as well as DS: 10, DS:10, and DD:11. My parents will have DD:2 so our two 2 year olds will be in a double and my 4 year old will be in a single. If he gets tired of sitting and the 6 year old gets tired of walking, they can switch out.

I salute you!

Last trip the kids were 6, 4, and 2. We rented a double the first day -- and a single and a double every day after that, which worked out much better than just the double!

Trip before, the kids were 4 1/2 , 2 1/2 , and 10 months. I brought a double and rented a single every day. That worked out fine, too.

HTH!

We're in a similar situation. When we go in Sept. my kids will be 5, 3 and 8months. I've been driving myself (and DH a little-I try not to talk to him about it too much  ) crazy trying to decide what to do. Right now I've decided to rent a double stroller from www.abbf.com and to bring a cheapo umbrella stroller. I don't think there is a perfect answer, but good luck deciding!

I'm going with a pretty big group in 3 weeks (YAY) and we are staying off site in a vacation house. I am so excited about it. There are 10 of us - 6 adults and 4 children (ages 6, 5, 4 and 22 months). The house is just the best option for us so the kids can go to sleep in seperate rooms and we can hang in the living room, watch TV, play in the games room the house has it it's garage and maybe even swim in the pool.

I can let you know after the trip if it worked for us!!!

As for the 3 kids ages - I have to admit I'm sort of regretting that my older boys won't be carriage confined while we are there. I would rather push 3 kids in strollers than spend the whole time saying "Danny get back here, Matty don't run ahead, Danny get off that bench, Matty get off your brother........."
