Sorry this is a long one but it was a long day!

We are still on UK time but we managed to stay in bed until 6am this morning. The plan was to head to IOA for early opening, hit Olivanders and FJ then head over to US to catch the rides we missed yesterday. IOA was much busier this morning (I am assuming it's because it was a Saturday) and FJ was down so when we joined the queue for Olivanders there was an hours wait. The show was pretty cool but not worth an hours wait IMO.

When we were finished FJ was back up and running but there was a 90 min wait now so we skipped it. I am so pleased we had the two nights on site and managed to ride this yesterday. I'd seen a cute spidey romper suit for Charlie yesterday so we headed to Marvel Superhero Island to pick it up. Paul decided to ride Dr Doom while I paid. He said it was ok but it felt a bit flat after the first 10 seconds and he felt they gave too much too soon

We walked across to US to ride what we missed yesterday. Dylan wanted to hit the play areas. On the way we met Scooby and Shaggy, the guy from Despicable Me (Dylan's words) and Curious George and the man in the yellow hat.

Dylan played in Feivel's playground for a while but he really wanted to get wet so we walked over to curious george goes to town. We'd forgotten a change of clothes so he stripped to his shorts and got absolutely drenched. Paul tried to dry him off in the toilets but he couldn't do a great job so he had to suffer. He was wearing football shorts so at least they were fairly quick drying.

We grabbed some lunch and later I realised we left our souvenir butterbeer mugs on the table so we lost those. The boys decided to ride MIB and I waited in the shade because Charlie was sleeping and I felt he really needed a good nap. Dylan beat Paul and came off bragging about his score.

We all rode the Simpsons doing child swap. I thought this was great but it was another ride where I was really nervous because it stresses if you are claustrophobic you shouldn't ride. It was fine and I really enjoyed it.

We thought we'd better head off as we had our dessert party at Epcot and wanted to shower and change first and we still had to swap hotels. We packed up the car and set off for SSR. I had put the wrong address in the TomTom and we ended up in the wrong place. We finally arrived at SSR at 4:45pm - still plenty of time to get showered and changed and off to the meet right?

The lady checking us in showed us where we were and we were miles out so I asked if she had a room in Grandstand available which I had requested on our booking. She went away and 15 minutes later she came back with good news - she had managed to get us a room in Grandstand. Great! We headed over and walked in the room. It's a studio! We've booked and paid for a 1BR. I called the front desk and they say they have us down for a studio. I tell them I changed the booking to a 1BR at the same time as I added Charlie to the reservation (quelle surprise - no Charlie on the booking either) and I have the paperwork which says 1BR. I'm told they will need to contact WDTC in the UK so I ask if they can do this while we are on our way over to speed things up because we are now in a rush. The guy said he would need to see the paperwork first. I felt like he thought I was lying and I was pretty annoyed by this point.

We headed back to check in and spoke to a lady on the desk. She was really helpful but the resort is fully booked so there is no way we will get a 1BR tonight. I tell her I don't want to be switching rooms as we are already doing that with our hotel switch today. I let her know about the dessert party and that we are in a rush to get to Epcot so she offered to get someone to drive us over there. We can't get showered but she says we can change in the restroom. I thanked her for her help and we went out to the car to get our clothes out of the cases. While we are rummaging in our cases in the middle of the carpark (classy I know) she comes out and tells us she can get us a 1BR from tomorrow at SSR or we can move to OKW and we can have a 2BR for the length of our stay. I pretend to think about it before snatching her arm off for OKW. We head over there and a lady follows us in a car to take us to Epcot. We decide to just change in the back of the car (its windows are blacked out). I pull a t-shirt over the vest I was wearing and pull my jeans on.

While I was sitting in the back of the car with my shorts off Paul opens the back door to get Charlie's car seat. I started yelling at him - close the door I'm sitting here in my pants! So does he close it? No he continues to take the car seat out. To anyone in OKW who may have seen me in the backseat of the car in just my pants and t-shirt I apologise for any mental scars you may have.

We head over to Epcot and make good time but Epcot is absolutely heaving. Of course it is - It's Saturday night and F&W is on. You can barely move through the sea of people. We made it though. It was great to see our old friends again and to meet new faces. We watched British Invasion together which was a first for us. When we walked over to the UK pavillion one of our friends had brought a trick or treat bag for all of the kids. We really enjoyed the fireworks and desserts and Paul's photos didn't turn out too badly considering he'd left the tripod in the rush to get out. We said our good byes knowing we would see a lot of our friends again in the morning.

We had a little wait for our bus but it was fairly empty so that was good. We still had to check in at OKW so we went straight to the desk and got our KTTW cards. We had been allocated room 1330 straight across from the hospitality house. It was on the third floor so a fair way to lug our suitcases but as soon as we stepped through the door - WOW. This place was amazing. It was newly refurbished - you could still smell the newness and it was huge. I was so pleased with the room. We noticed that Charlie had his own KTTW card - odd for an infant but for some reason they had him down as an adult so we ended up with extra adult credits on the dining plan too.

We dumped the cases and fell into bed - tired but happy.

how wonderful to get a great resort.
