Three drivers, car rental charges ?

DH, myself and my dad need to be listed as drivers on our minivan rental...

I know L&M will allow DH and myself for "free", and charge dad $5/day...

What other companies will do the additional driver for free, and then a low charge/day for another?

If you have AAA, a lot of the major companies will allow spouses to drive free. Budget allows spouses to drive free all the time. I think Avis and Hertz do still too. Usually they charge about $5 a day also for another additional driver.

If you have AAA and rent from Hertz using the AAA rate, then all AAA members can be added as additional drivers for no charge. We have used this rental method when traveling with my parents. But you should know that Hertz is not on-site at MCO.

Thrifty allows spouses to be additional drivers at no fee. They are off site but usually very inexpensive.

That might just be worth a CAA membership alone...

I did a little more reading on the Hertz site, and it said that a charge for additional operators would be $9USD/day, to a max of $45/rental...

L&M are charging $5/day, every day...
