Three DISers and a Little Lady...(and some other people!) IN DISNEY NOW! Live Report!

Are you going to be at the Cinco de Mayo DIS meet in the Mexico Pavilion? Maybe we will get to meet you!

We will be going, but we'll be running a bit late. We're hoping people will be there for a little while so we can meet some fellow DISers, but I am sure it will be fun either way! :thumbsup2

And I seriously love those pirate shirts! pirate: I want one! If I had some time I would totally be trying to make my own! :rotfl:

Well, packing has officially begun. :cool1: There are 2 suitcases that have clothes in them on the bedroom floor! Still lots to do, but it's getting closer! Unca and B's wedding is tomorrow, and then only 6 more sleeps until we head out! :cheer2:

Glad that "other" distraction is over so we can concentrate on our WDW trip.

Excuse us for getting married :P Last I knew you loved me! ;) I have to say, I'm glad it's done and over with too so that we're that much closer to vacation :D

I didn't have anything to say til now. I'm considering doing our own travel report, but I don't think people would be interested in all the sleeping in and wandering aimlessly ;)

Oh yes they would. :surfweb: Especially since it is your - HONEYMOON:bride:

We're in Disney World! :cool1:
Got in at around 2:30 at Ft. Wilderness, unhooked the Pickup Truck, unloaded the golf cart and had the coach parked on the pad by 3:30. Then we shuffled some luggage around and left Bug with Nana and Papa while DW and I scooted over to BWV to check in and transfer our luggage up to the room.

We were shocked to see how empty FW is right now! The 900 loop was more than half empty! Almost no traffic on the roads and empty bus stops... does this bode well for the crowds in the parks? We shall see!

We took the truck back to FW and traded with Nana and Papa, they took the truck and we took the Bug. They went over to AKL to drop off some surprise presents to the Newlyweds room before they arrived on Magical Express from the airport.

DW, Bug and I wandered around FW for a little while and let the kid run off some energy.

Then we walked up to the Settlement (big mistake, a lot farther than I thought it was!) We wandered through the trading post to cool off in the A/C then went to Trails End to check in for our 7pm ADR (at 6:30ish) and were seated almost immediately!

Now comes some peoples favorite part of a TR... Food Po.....pictures.
DW's salad...?
P1000567.jpg

My first plate; green beans, corn, spiced potatoes, smashed potatoes w/gravy, fried chicken, ribs (YUM!) and chili (eh.).

DWs first (real) plate; corn, spiced potatoes, smashed potatoes, ribs, pasta stuff, and cornbread. Bug had about the same but Mac n cheese instead of ribs.

Desserts were Brownies (dry), rice crispie treats (stale), cookie (good) and ice cream.

And our first Magic Moment, we let our waitress, Jacki, know that we were celebrating Bug's 4th birthday on our trip and she brought this for Bug's dessert...
P1000575.jpg
which she completely refused to eat! So DW and I took care of it for her. (YUMMY!)
Had a little melt down at the end of dinner, I tried to get Bug to taste one strawberry and accidentally dripped juice in her ice cream! Total meltdown, crying, red face, pouting, the works!:scared: Jacki came over to see what was wrong and when we told her the story she took Bugs hand and took her over to get a brand new ice cream to replace the "ruined" one. Crisis averted, Bug was all smiles again!

Completely stuffed we wandered out and made a call for the "Lime Green Golf Cart Taxi Service" AKA Papa, for a pickup and delivery to the outpost bus stop. We planned on taking a bus over to DHS and then grabbing a boat back to BWV. (Second Magical Moment Ahead!) When our driver heard that our group and another group on the bus was destined for Boardwalk he made a short detour and dropped us right at our front door! Awesome!

We went into the room where Bug found 2 birthday presents waiting for her, a digital camera and a pin trading lanyard and pins. She was very excited! Then I hit the shower and DW and bug went for a walk to go buy our resort mugs and run off a little more energy. When the got back it was bath and bed for Bug and TR time for me!

Now I'm off to bed, the plan is to hit rope drop at MK tomorrow! :scared1: Wish us luck!

:woohoo: sounds like a great first day!

The playground pics are so cute :cutie:

Have fun at the MK! :goodvibes

Today was our first day in the parks, it was a very full day! We started out attempting to make rope drop at the Magic Kingdom but due to a major Disney Bussing Fail we missed it by about 10 minutes. We arrived at the Boardwalk bus stop at 8:10 and did not see a Magic Kingdom bus until 8:45! That's when three MK busses showed up all at once! Grumble.

So we arrived at MK at about ten after nine and headed into the park, we stopped in at the Main Street Bakery and picked up a Cinnamon Roll and water to share for breakfast. After we finished eating, at Bugs request, we went up and walked through the castle into Fantasy Land. The first thing she wanted to do was ride the Carousel which was a walk on, then she wanted Dumbo... which was NOT a walk on! We convinced her to come back to Dumbo another day and started wandering toward Tomorrowland.

(A note about Fantasyland, I was surprised to find that they have already started work on the Rebuild, there is a wall running all along the back of the land. Ariel's Grotto and water play area, the Pooh playground and meeting spot, and the area where 20,000 Leagues used to be are all blocked off by the wall. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to have Bug meet Ariel in her Grotto. At least Toon Town Fair is still there for now, it will all be worth it in 2013 when the new Fantasyland opens!)

On our way to Tomorrowland we happened upon Alice! When Bug got up to talk to Alice the were having a nice little conversation
P1000577.jpg
when Alice asked Bug if she liked rabbits? Bug said yes, Alice asked "What about ones that are always late?" and look who hopped up!
P1000580.jpg
Neat!

Then we continued on to Tomorrowland where we picked up 3 FPs for Buzz Lightyear. When we walked away Bug pointed up at Astro Orbiter and asked, "What's THAT?!?" We told her they were rocket ships, kind of like Dumbo but rockets instead of elephants, and she wanted to ride them! Us in line...

Waiting for take off.

And a couple from the orbiter!

After that we hit Laugh Floor, we had never done this before, it's so cool! We sat right on the middle isle and Bug and I got to be part of the show! She was so excited to see herself on the big screen up front... to be honest... I was pretty excited about it too!

Then we went over to Buzz to use our FPs. That ride is so neat, DW got to hit the first 100,000 target and thought she was going to beat Bug and I, but we found another 100,000 point score on the ride and managed to edge her out! (She adds... only by about 4000 points, LOL!)

Tomorrowland was PACKED by the time we got out of Buzz so we decided to head over to Adventureland. As soon as Bug saw the skull and crossed swords she yelled, "Can we ride PIRATES?" and started singing the song as loud as she could. As usual Pirates was a hit with Bug and she got to sit on her own on the outside instead of between us. While waiting in line we decided to grab some lunch so when we finished we headed to Casey's for mini-corndogs. (I've been craving these things for months!)

After lunch we walked through the Emporium on our way out of the park. We left MK at about 1pm and made our way back to BWV for a nap for our wiped out Bug.

While Bug napped in the room and I relaxed and took in some of what passes for TV here at Disney World, DW took a stroll around the Boardwalk Inn and the Villas, and bought some swimmies since we forgot Bugs at home. When the Bug woke up she and DW went out for a swim, while I continued with my relaxing. Eventually I wandered down and took some pictures of them swimming with our "Good Camera" (Our DSLR, unfortunately I forgot to pack the CF card reader and won't be able to upload any of the pics taken with this until we get home.) and some video too.

After the swim we went back up to the room and chilled until it was time to get ready for dinner. We headed over to EPCOT at about 5:00 to wander around until our 7:10 Teppan Edo Ressies. Wandered through the shops in Japan and Bug and DW got to do their Pick-a-Pearl, this is a very cool experience and I would recommend it to anyone! Bug picked an Oyster with a 7mm Pearl with a slightly pink color, perfect for her! DW picked an oyster with a 6.75mm SILVER Pearl! (Very Rare according to the girl doing the presentation!) I'll see if I can get pics of these tomorrow, Bug is sleeping now and I don't want to wake her with the camera.

So after a little more wandering we went up that long staircase to Teppan Edo and checked in at about 6:40, no luck getting seated early this time, we actually didn't get in until about 7:25. We were STARVING by the time we sat down but the wait was so worth it. I don't really read dining reviews or TRs, but I knew that they cook in front of you so I figured it was more about the show than the food. I was SO wrong, the show is neat and the chef was very funny but the food was SOOOO good. DW and I both ordered the steak and shrimp and Bug got the chicken. The shrimp was tender, perfectly cooked and delicious. But the steak, melt in your mouth, the BEST steak I have ever, EVER eaten! SO GOOD!!! Bug even ate good, after she got over the shock of having food dumped on her plate with no warning! She made several valiant attempts with the chopsticks and met with marginal success, enough that she impressed another table with her tenacity! For desert DW and I shared the Green Tea Pudding (Flan?) and the Chocolate Ginger Cake and Bug got her Ice Cream with a candle in it for her B-day and her own Chef hat. Sorry no pics of the food tonight, it was too good to stop eating to take pictures!

Take note if you plan to eat at Teppan Edo, we arrived at 6:40 and walked out at 9:25! It's not just dinner, it's an experience! (Plan accordingly!) On our way back the hotel Bug informed us that when she grows up she wants to be a Chef! This is the first time we've heard the "When I grow up..." phrase from Bug and it was so sweet. We got back to the room at about 10:15, we took a little break on the Boardwalk and played a game in the arcade on the way back. Then it was bed for Bug and trippie for me.

That's all for tonight, see you all tomorrow!

Awesome trip report!! Can't wait to read more

If your family is looking to adopt anyone I'll volunteer. I'd fit right in. My family thinks my Disney addiction is extreme:confused3, but they humor me

Sounds like a great day despite the bus issue and long wait at Teppen Edo. I love the way Bug has her hands in the Alice pictures! She poses like a TRUE princess :cutie:

I don't think my dad would go for anymore "Moochy Birds" as he sometimes refers to his kids, LOL! But you would be more than welcome to hang out with these Disney Nuts anytime!

It was, it felt like two days instead of one! We're getting a late start today (yup, 11am, late start) getting ready to head to EPCOT.

You call her a princess... we just call her a HAM!

Thank you for your dedication to post during your trip. I hope you continue to have a great time~!
