Hi!!

I just booked a short, last minute trip before my birthday in a couple of weeks. My husband will be away for a job and I figured it was time to do something nice for myself. I have family working in the parks now, so I won't be alone alone.

I've been to WDW so many times it feels like home, even got married there, but life and work have kept me away for almost three years and there's a lot I haven't experienced. I'm wondering if anyone has insight in navigating the parks solo with things like Pandora and Flower and Garden.

I'm thinking it's not worth wasting a ticket on Hollywood Studios at the moment, though I'm interested in seeing the Tap House, Pizza Rizzo (not eating there) and the Star Wars night time show. I have two evenings free to see night time shows, and I have yet to see Star Wars, Happily Ever After or Rivers of Light. I'm having trouble choosing.

I'm planning basically a whole day for Pandora. I've done everything else in AK more times that I could ever count, so I won't be sad missing other things while I wait in line, but I'd appreciate any helpful time management suggestions for going it alone.

I'm so so excited to go 'home'. I decided to book it all late last night, and when I woke up, NYC was covered in snow. I'm taking as a sign I made the right choice!

There is no way you can spend a whole day in Pandora. There is only 2 attractions and the area itself is fairly small. There's not a lot to see when walking around. What is there is really cool but you definitely don't need a whole day. When you go solo it is so easy to get more done.

I don;t know when you're going but I'll be down there the end of April solo. I went solo in December for a few days and most recently in Feb. I always get to AK by 7am and do rope drop for Flight of Passage, most of the time you can get off of FoP and onto River journey right afterwards. Once you ride the rides, you can wander around but the area is rather small. The backwalk way from Pandora to Africa is beauuuutiful though.

Baseline taphouse pretzel is pretty good. The shade is nice too. :)

When I have time by myself, I stop at every Photopass photographer and get Magic Shots.

If you like meeting characters, I found that most of the lines at DHS were shorter than at MK and Epcot. The exception was Woody and Buzz; that line moved very slowly. If you like Guardians of the Galaxy, and Star Lord and Baby Groot are still there, do that one and tell Star Lord that it's your birthday. Baby Groot singing Happy Birthday is very fun.

People drop Fastpasses all the time, so don't give up hope on getting them for the Pandora rides. Just refresh, refresh, refresh when you have time.
