Three day park hopper passes ?

I read a post about a month ago, from someone stating they purchased 3 day park hoppers as part of a special promotion to boost slow sales. Does anyone know if they actually were available and if so how long they will be available ? We love the option of park hopping but the 3 day fits better into this years plans and budget.
