Not sure where to post this, but since many of the "Webmasters" seem to peruse this Board, maybe this is the place. What sort of triggering mechanism is used to determine which threads appear (with photos) on the bottom banner? Why does clicking on a thread about the potential closure of BTMRR bring up Zombie threads the likes of "My Wife Just Left Me", or "One Of My Dogs Just Killed My Other Dog", or some "Bridezilla" thread, most of which are from 2005-2009? Not sure which is worse--the age of the threads or the fact that so many come from non-Disney Boards such as the Community Board. Either way, as currently constructed, it all seems rather pointless, especially if the purpose of it all is to show other threads that a user might be interested in. On the other hand, if the triggering mechanism is truly and purely random, it seems to be working!

Edit to add:
After posting this, the threads that came up on the bottom banner were:
"Anxiety disorder worries"; "My husband has cyclothemia, what now?"; "What is the Mental Disorder that Makes Someone..."; "Nervous ticks in children"; and "Anyone else have a child with "tics?" Really??

And to show that I am not exaggerating, I went back to the BTMRR closure thread and got:
"Please Help: My Dog Killed My Other Dog Today"; "I Think I Hate My [Wedding] Dress"; Bridezilla Email and Bridesmaid Response"; "Denied Boarding"; "Do people actually enjoy these attractions?"; "Tell me about Westgate Resort please"; and "Does anyone miss the old Snow White at MK?".

I have wondered if there is a way of altering the algorithm to only choose recent threads. I end up clicking into so many zombie threads!

I feel all of this...
So often over the last few months that I've been posting, I'll find an interesting thread where I feel I could really contribute something interesting (hey, it doesn't happen often, but it happens) on the feed at the bottom of the page only to find out the last post was in 2008 :badpc:
