"I'm sorry Ladies and Gentlemen....we regret to inform you that all flights out of Sanford Airport has bee postponed and/or cancelled due to fish on the runway." That's going to make me giggle. I just have this image (especially since Sea World was mentioned) of beluga whales and Shamu sitting in patio chairs on the runway.

Silver hollow ware? Its either guns or fancy drinking straws.

Yeah for school shopping with Mom! My mother still yells at me because I don't know how to iron "properly". Little does she know I don't iron at all!

Last year was the first year my mom didn't get me a back to school outfit for my bday. This year since I signed up to sub, she did. Yeah, she can be a pain at times but I would be lost without her.

I've seen those white outline drawings on car windows with messages like the picture. My uncle nearly had a fit when I saw one and said, look, it's p_ _ _ ing (rhymes with sis) on 24! He never heard me use that word before. :lmao:

Have fun shopping..............

Prepare for take-off! Gives real meaning to lifeboats doesn't it? I was thinking more along the line of finding Nemo...just need to think bigger!

Just say NO to ironing.

They have the face wrong here. Needs to be this guy ironing...

When we have rain like that the alligators get in your yard. I have a picture somewhere of my friend feeding one bologna from his back porch.

My mom says the same thing about DD ironing-like that's gonna happen.

I do know how to iron, I choose not to use that skill.:goodvibes :thumbsup2 it's like knowing how to sew-if people know you can they will constantly ask you to do it. :rotfl:

DM brought us over a mangle-one of the press-down ironing boards that dry cleaners use.:rotfl: It was great when DD was little because her whole dresses would/could be pressed in one stroke. I told her-hope springs eternal.
Actually, I kinda like to iron, it's sorta zen, like doing dishes by hand as long as you don't HAVE TO, it's ok.

I have to do dishes by hand, because I AM the dishwasher! I don't even know how to use one of those machines.

My Zen cleaning moment is hanging laundry to dry. (I do have a dryer, but prefer to line dry when I can). I like being outside and handling all the newly washed clothes. I also like imagining how crisp it'll be when it comes down (thus no ironing).

Since Hazel Roomba came into my life, I don't have to vaccuum as much anymore! She's such a lifesaver. It entertains the cats and I don't have to lug the vaccuum out of the closet. Although I did lose her last night. I found her stuck under the couch. She was too full. I know how she feels.

Ooh, a mangle sounds so cool! Did it attach to the wall like in the movies?

Alligators in the yard?!? We just have deer, rabbits, and woodchucks. All the cute fauna. I feel like Snow White when I'm hanging the wash and there's all sorts of animals around.

Add me to the list who do not like to iron. I have ironed in the past and I am sure I will iron in future only if DD isn't around to do it for me. :lmao:

Hearing about all the horrible weather in Orlando made me realize that at this time last year, we were there. I was kinda disappointed when we decided to put the trip off by a couple of months. Just hoping that everyone stays safe down there.

M&N-I see you were giving Nascar classes this morning. :rotfl: Is there going to be a pop quiz too?

Bopsmom-Love, love the picture. :lmao: I've seen those before and much worse. Have fun "school shopping" today. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

MagiKitty-We don't have a dishwasher either unless you count me. I hate to vacuum too. I wonder if I can talk DH into getting a roomba.

Still here... just ridiculously busy.

Broke my toe on Monday, so I'm even slower than usual at getting everything done. I look so goofy too! :rotfl: (trying to have a sense of humor about this, but truly, I am NOT happy... my feet were swollen enough.) Now instead of just "waddle, waddle, waddle"... I go "waddle, limp, waddle, limp."

Still feeling pretty good otherwise though... trying to get my "fit for duty" note from my doc today. Yup. That's right people. After 39 weeks of hauling equipment, climbing ladders, and driving lifts around a studio, work decided to ask me NOW... approx. 1 week from my due date for a doctor's note saying it was safe for me to work. :confused3 Ya' gotta love corporate America.

Anyway, I'm gonna take the rest of my lunch and go hunt around online for some shoes that breathe, but are still considered "safe" for studio wear. (Has to cover the toes and heel... but jamming my preggo feet and swollen toe into sneakers and work shoes is not putting me in my happy place.)

Take care everybody... I'll have to try to catch up later.

Almost forgot!
For anyone who's been following the me vs. my brain saga... I FOUND THE CARSEAT!

For some unknown reason, it is in my MILs basement. :confused3 I'm going to pick it up tonight.

Shmu, that shirt is great! You're just so creative. What a wonderful way to bring your Dad with you.

D&D...your inexpensive weekend is quite impressive! You should be on one of those reality shows about stretching a dollar. So great that you had a good time. No pics?

Wow, there really are a lot of teachers/educators on the TKers.

The Litterbox is very happy! (we call my house the litterbox, not cause of smell, just all the cats). Got my travel documents today! I had also sent back my DVD recorder for repair and it returned also! And I got a further discount on the rental car--I'm down to $117!

My nephew stopped by tonight. The twins are heading to college tomorrow. :sad1: We both can't believe it. They're starting a new chapter in their life. The only advice I could give him is to not do something stupid the first weekend. He'll forever be branded "that guy on the first weekend who...(fill in the blank here)". I'm actually more worried about my SIL. She's not handling it well. She's losing two at once! But at least they'll be at the same school (only 75 minutes away) so they'll watch out for each other. They're in the same dorm.

MK, who did you rent from?!?! $117 for 8 days is AMAZING! Did you get a super sub-compact for that price? :lmao:

Aww, Lighttech, you have to be more careful for both you and Baby Lighttech! Hang in there until the 25th (my guess!). Yeah on finding the carseat. How's Little Lighttech doing in his bed? You take care of your self extra special, ok?

whgrn...I rented through Alamo. Used the $25 off a week's rental and some code found on Mousesavers. Its the 8th day that's killing the fee--its under $100 otherwise! I still have hope, people on the transportation board are reporting falling rental rates! And its a mid-size--more than enough for BF and me. Now, for outlet shopping, that's another story altogether.....

How's the beach?

Oh no! Teary-eyed here! My nephew texted me from college. He's mostly moved in and is helping his sister get settled too...I can't believe they're college freshman! Told him to go get his books ASAP. He said, "see you next month!" I don't think I've even gone three days without seeing them...this is going to be harder than I thought. I just hope they're not stupid this first weekend out in the "real world".

I really am sorry about your toe. I just had to stick a laugh in too. I think it was the waddle, limp, waddle part. Just so you are OK. We all were thinking the baby was on the way. Maybe he had better wait for a better toe. I won't even ask how you broke it. Positive thought.....it could have been 2 toes. Come on TKers, I'm digging myself into a hole here....

Keep diggin' M&N, keep diggin'!

If it makes you feel better at all Lighttech, I waddle all the time...

Yeah for the carseat...At least you know it wasn't in some place you already looked. I was so concerned over the toe, I missed that post.

Maggikitty---the twins will be fine. They know you are always there for them. It's just a little farther away right now.

iron?? What's an iron? :lmao: I iron about once a year, just to see if still works. :thumbsup2 My mom used to have a mangle (sat on the floor in the garage). She used it to iron sheets. :scared1: She couldn't press most clothes with it as it would pull the cloth through it to press.

Bopsmom men! :headache: your DD
D&DDisney What a great vacation deal!
Shmu Like your shirt.
lighttech:cheer2: found your car seat! :dance3: Breaking your toe?! I think it's a hint to stop working. ;)
MagiKitty Don't worry, they will do fine. You did help raise them. ;)
Happy belated birthday to M&N! My excuse is my mind goes numb from reading about NASCAR. :lmao: :flower3:
Hi to everyone else I may have missed. :wave2: to Pikester My mind must be going as I can't remember three pages of dialog long enough to comment. Must either take notes or multiquote. :sad2:

We won't expect to hear from you tonight.

Woo-hoo! Are you ready for this? My 8 day rental went down to $100.04!

Oh, and Happy Anniversary Bopsmom!

I'm in negotiations....every cent shaved off of rental car should be spent on souvenirs, right? BF's original budget for car rental was $150. The fifty dollar difference should go to play money! Its incentive to get that rental fee down, down, down!
