Thread 810, Free Dining Watch..Code Announced Today!

Is there an actual code ya will have to give the cm when you ring up or just mention free dining to get it? Thanks :-)

The code is AYG for Disney visa holders and they can book 4/7 and general public may book on 4/10. The post I found didn't know the general public code. This is all according to some previous posts which seem pretty reliable.

i am so excited! we will be arriving on the 29th. i've made my adrs but i was thinking it will start the 30th so now that i will have credits for my travel day, i'm going to book at TS @ Narcosses!!!!! hooray!!!:cool1: :cool1:

Oops!!! That is what I get for trying to do more than one thing at a time. I read the post and glanced at the calendar and saw it was the 7th and called. 7th of MARCH does not count. Guess I should add changing the calendar to my list of things to do.

And that is why I am called "Slightly Goofy" and not "The Brain" :rotfl2:

Drat! :headache: :sad2: I was hoping they would offer it for the 1st week of Dec. Oh well. Good luck to everyone else booking their reservations.

Free Dining has only ever been offered for August, Sept, and the first week of October. It's offered during the slowest season of the year (due to schools just starting and hurricane season). No way would free dining ever be offered in Dec. Besides the first full week of Dec is I believe POP Warner Week. No way would Disney offer free food for all those wild, crazy teens. The restaurants would be a mad house. Sorry!

I don't think it is very professional of agents to be leaking details. Disney asks agents not to announce details until the day of any discounts.

HI,

what I'd like to know is this:

If you are going Sept 15-22 (and FD ends sept 20th) will you get FD for just the first five nights, or will they not apply it at all??

OK, I have a question. I have my ressie for Sept 12-20 and all my ADR;s are made. In order for me to get the FD I have to call on 4/7 and mention the code?:confused3 Is this true? What are my chances of even getting through? Will I loose my current ressie? ARGH!! I have never done this, last time we did not ge the FD and I am so hoping we do.

Good luck to all!!!!

Call that morning to modify your exiting ressie, and you should be able to just ADD the code to your reservation you already have.
That is what I have done twice, and its never been a problem.

I totally agree :thumbsup2 - those agencies will be getting a call from Disney and their Disney sales reps will also get a talking to which won't look good on their record

Well, I can see why they do it they are trying to drive business, but I think they may shoot themselves in the foot. If they leak and Disney doesn't like it then Disney won't tell them in the future.

Has anyone heard any rumors on if all resorts are included? That's the part that I wonder about.

If this rumor is true (and I'm not doubting the poster or her mom), right or wrong, I am surprised we've only heard it from ONE source.

Surely other travel agents and/or family post on boards like this..I am wondering why we haven't heard it from more than one source...

With travel agencies, especially the ones that specialize in Disney travel they are asked by Disney not to post any discount information until the day it becomes available to book. Most TA's follow those rules not to jepordize their relationship with Disney. Then you have the ones that don't care

probably because as Safetymom said in an earlier post they are told not to and I agree with her post.

Personally, I think it puts the TA in a bad spot. Disney does monitor the boards and if they trace the source of the leak, it can cause serious problems for the TA. I am sure that the OP's mother told her the information in confidence, not intending to have it published all over the internet.

In surfing the other major Disney message boards I have noticed that not only has DU refrained from comment but most of the other reputable agencies have also refrained from comment and conjecture and have said nothing about any upcoming discounts. People need to remember that Disney can change their minds or leak false information in hopes of figuring out who is leaking information.

Hats off to Du and the other agencies for respecting the rules that Disney has put in place! I am sure it is frustrating for them to have to neither confirm nor deny the rumors because you can be sure they are being bombarded with questions from clients!
