Thoughts? Suggestions?

I need help deciding and could use some input from others. I'm going *mostly* solo to both Universal and WDW. I have my WDW resorts (split stay) booked and a fair amount of that planning is done. I was originally going to do Universal during the last part of my trip (Oct 2-5) but changed it up to go to HHN with a friend who will be at Universal Sept 19-22. My plan is to fly in Sept 20 (fairly early) and do HHN that night w/ EP.
Now for where I need opinions:
I am continuing to go back and forth over resorts. I am going solo so I'm unsure of the need of Unlimited EP that comes with PBH, RPR, HRH. It would save me a good amount of money to stay at SFR. I was at Universal last year mid Sept but I think it was right before HHN and crowds were pretty non existent (outside of the rock the world/universe/whatever thing going on the last couple days). I will have Sept 20-Sept 25 (transferring over to Disney at that point)...so a lot of time. I'm estimating the 21st to be a recovery day from travel/HHN festivities with not much until later; hitting the parks the 22nd-24th. My main interest is HP with some random rides between each park...so thoughts?

TL/DR: solo traveler unsure of which resort (EP or not) for dates Sept 20-25. I'm also a *newly as of today* preferred AP holder.
One last thing: transportation from MCO to Universal and then Universal to Disney? In searches of this forum I've come across some names I'll look in to...the stopping at a grocery store before Disney has me close to sold...less stress having to deal with/wait for one of the delivery sites...

I do solo often, but I'm local, so I never had to travel. Someone else will have to help in that department. General advice would be, I would suggest whichever park you're doing, you stay on site. As for the time you're traveling from one park to another (when you do you transition period) people traditionally suggest an Uber (if you're not renting a car, or anything). However, as I said, someone might have more better, or more specific advice.

A good thing about being solo is, unlike Disney, Universal has a lot more SR lines, so that will definitely help you. I'd say do a hotel with unlimited EP if it is within your budget and just for the fun of it, but if you prefer saving money, or can't afford it, you honestly really do not need it, especially since the other on site hotels without it has EE anyway, which will give you ahead start, which fits since you seem interested in the Potter stuff (as that is the area that is open depending which side of the park is open).

Also, I suggest doing the more popular rides (RRR and Gringotts) for SR first thing (you won't be able to do RRR for EE however), as other people like to take advantage of these lines and they can get long due to so many people trying to get a quicker wait time. It's one thing if a line that barely moves has a few people in it, but a lot of people in a line that barely moves, is not good. I would imagine you plan on hitting Gringott's since you're interested in Potter, but I only mention RRR just in case, as I'm not sure if that's within your plans.

Thank you. Last year was really the first year I had done Universal fully rather than hopping over for a day during Disney trips or a college trip down for HHN. I felt like I got much more of a feel of things and really enjoyed it so wanted to include more of Universal in my vacation. I was able to do Gringotts once last year, but between increased weekend crowds and it breaking down, any other time didn't happen. RRR is a favorite so I'm looking forward the SR and the SO MANY more SR options.
