Thoughts on when Skyliner will go back to multi-party gondolas?

I really enjoyed not being stuck in a gondola with strangers this visit thanks to the "one party per gondola" policy right now. My first time riding it when it first opened, I was stuck with one other person for about 10 minutes and it was AWKWARD and UNCOMFORTABLE - and I had pretty much sworn off of them, but being allowed to be just me it was really nice.

I'm currently booked at Riviera for my solo birthday trip this summer, but am pondering different resort possibilities as well.

I know no one can predict the future, but what are people's thoughts on how soon they'll start putting more than one party in a gondola again? Do we think it would be as soon as this summer? Because as nice as Riviera looks and as much as I want to stay there, I have to say being stuck in a gondola with others would be a dealbreaker for me, and I'd rather make that call to change resorts sooner when there is open availability than later when it's limited.

I doubt it this year. Chapek said masks and social distancing will remain to the end of 2021.

I’d guess as long as masks and social distancing are required, gondolas will be single party. Otherwise, they’d be violating their own rules.
