We arrive on Sunday. If you had to pick an area for your room, what would you recommend? We will be in just a regular room. 2 of us. I didn't book for pool either, but may bring my suit. Thanks.
I called ahead and requested top floor, as far forward as possible. They upgraded me to a parlor suite, which I totally didn't need, but was nice anyway. I like the top floor because there's nobody tramping around overhead. I was pretty close to the front; right near the staircase that is next to the breakfast room, so just steps from the street. It was nice and quiet. (but then, I wear soft foam earplugs when traveling, and nothing disturbs me then!)
the chemicals were off. it has a 'basic'/greasy feel to the water. there was also a lot of hair and dirt floating around. The hot tub foam was of the "dead skin cells and body oil" type; not soapy bubbles type.

THIS ^^^^ It's muggy in there as well, poor ventilation, and reaks of chemicals. It's just not a fun place to be. We don't stay there for the pool that's for sure!
Yeah, not sure if we'll use it on our trip (we didn't have time for it last time.) But if we do, sounds like we'll avoid the hot tub. And we always shower after being in chlorine anyway.
my kids have used the pool there before. Its not a hotel you book for the pool thats for sure! The pool area smells strongly of chlorine and its humid in there. The hot tub is luke warm at best. For my kids it was ok for a short swim but its really nothing more.
