Thoughts on Teppan Edo in Japan in EPCOT??

We're looking forward to trying this in August. Our boys really loved Biergarden last year and we're hoping that they like this as well.

This is one of my DH's fav's, we enjoy the fun atmosphere, and have met some of the most wonderful table mates. I think that the food quality is above what you normally get at a local place.

When walking into Japan you see the architecture, is much more immersive. I would try to spend a bit of time before your ADR and look around before dinner grab a Kirin beer and a plum wine... Tasty and refreshing, then head for dinner, and relax and enjoy. Its nice when you leave dinner and walk out that you are still in Japan, instead of walking out into a hotel, or strip mall, or worse... facing a major highway. It just keeps the magic going...

When DD was in middle school, she had a major report... each student was assigned a country, DD got Japan. This was a very in depth report it was half of the semester grade and it had to be given in front of the class with props, pictures, power point... etc.... They were assigned it the 1st week of school in August and it was due when they returned from January. She worked on this and worked on it, we spent a lot of time visiting Japan in the world showcase. One night during our Christmas vacation, we were at a much later seating, and the family that they sat us with one of their children became ill about half way through dinner they had to leave so it was just the 3 of us. We were still eating and DD had told our chef that she was doing a report on Japan. She was so sweet and thoughtful, DD asked if she could ask her some questions which she answered gladly. The next thing we knew several of the cast members were coming by and she was talking to them asking questions, and taking picture's, it was so special. Everyone was so nice... and glad to talk and explain about where they were from and about there country. She got 100% A on the report. I honestly think that talking to the cast members really made it real place for her, not just words in a book or on a computer screen.

I sorta left the question for a moment.. For us its always about the experience..... at WDW... or wherever we go ..... not just the food or price point... Its about the experience... So go enjoy yourself and bask in the experience...
