I'm planning our first Disney vacation this summer. There will be 4 of us. Myself, DS (6), my friend, and her daughter/my goddaughter (10). We're planning on dividing our trip to Florida into three parts -- 3 night/4 days at POFQ, 3 night/3 days at Madeira Beach, and then 2 nights/2 days at Animal Kingdom Lodge (we splurged on the Savannah room!) We will have MYW plus dining for both parts of the trip -- a total of 12 TS meals for the first part and 8 for the second. I just finished booking our meals and wanted to have your thoughts. Our plan is not to use the dining plan for the kids at all but to use those meals to upgrade us for some signature dining and extra meals. Both kids are good eaters in terms of both variety and quantity. They both like restaurants, and we thought that having the Table Service Meals was a good way to schedule some breaks into the day. I'd love any thoughts you have on our dining choices, resort choices, schedule etc . . .

Tuesday (arrival day at POFQ)

MGM (should get there around 2)
Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose's -- no MYW dining

Wednesday

M.K. (get there early, take a break midday, and return for the evening)

Lunch: Grand Floridian Cafe (2 TS meals, pay for both kids a la carte)

Dinner: California Grill during the fireworks (4 TS meals, pay for both kids a la carte

Thursday

a.m. (DS and I -- Typhoon Lagoon, DGD and DF Epcot)

Lunch: Princess Storybook Lunch for DGD and DF only (1 TS pay for DGD a la carte)

p.m. everyone at Epcot

Dinner: Restaurant Marrakkesh (2 TS)

Friday

let each child choose a park to visit with their parent (I'm thinking DS and I might do Blizzard Beach and then "hop" over to MK for the parade. I don't know what DGD will choose) and then meet up for dinner at Chef Mickey's. (2 more TS)

Actually that gives us one extra TS which we'll use at either Marrakkesh or Grand Floridian Cafe.

For the second half of the trip we're thinking.

Monday

Check into AKL and spend the afternoon enjoying the resort. Then Dinner at Jiko's (4 TS)

Tuesday

Animal Kingdom

Dinner at Boma's (2 TS)

Wednesday

Spend a few hours at a park the kids choose together (MK??) and then fly home.

Once again we'll have 2 extra coupons. Which do you think makes more sense -- using them for one of the kids at Jiko's, or paying for both kids at Boma?

Thanks for your thoughts!
