Thoughts on One Day PH and FP+

My college aged DD is going to a timeshare in Orlando with seven friends(free-using a friends parents points). The thought of bring so close to WDW and not going to the parks is killing her. I suggested going to DTD and eating lunch at Contemporary and riding the monorail to make it easier on her! She said her friends are now kicking around the idea of splurging on a one day PH. It's $140ish . My concern is FP+. I don't think they will be able to get much done only having FP at one park. Any helpful hints?

You can do A LOT going to one park at opening and then using FP later in the day and staying until closing (especially if the park is open late). A lot of that depends on how busy the parks are in general and what the park hours are.

Anyone who wants to sleep in is probably going to have a hard time getting value out of a 1 day ticket.

Everyone has to make his or her own decision about how to spend money, but if I had just one day I would stick to one park, usually the Magic Kingdom, and go on a day that doesn't have EMH, since they wouldn't be able to take advantage of that anyway.
