Thoughts on Non-Disney day with limited mobility

We will have a Friday for our non-Disney day. There will be 6 of us, including 2 kids (4 and 10) and the grandparents, one with limited mobility and uses a rollator. If we go slowly and rest it's better. We could do a beach, but we aren't huge swimmers and again, the rollator. We are all mostly looking for something sort of low-key but still good for the kids, so possibly Disney Springs or the Boardwalk. I'm not really sure what there is to 'do' at either place, other than shop. Universal is probably off the table, but possibly LEGOLAND...
Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

What resort are you staying at? Perhaps some time relaxing poolside, maybe a game of mini golf, a nice dinner/character meal at the end of the day?

What about a shopping day at the outlet malls. Sea world is fun and can be a slower day too.

I would choose Sea World if possible. Lots of shows, so plenty to do. Less crowded, pretty cheap..

One idea, and surprisingly the cheapest idea, might be to not take that day off from the parks. When buying multi-day park tickets, it adds very little to add on the 4th or 5th or more day. MUCH cheaper that adding another park or even a shopping day. You can go a bit slower other days, knowing you have an extra day to use. You could still make it more of a laid back day by sleeping in a bit and making FP for the afternoon or evening. If you decide to not do that, one of our favorite things is to resort hop. Check out all the cool themed resorts and have a meal at one of them. DS is a great idea but we always spend a ton of money there if that is an issue. Some time at Fort Wilderness is also a good plan. The boat ride over from the MK is a treat its self. Eat at Trials End or splurge and book the HDDR. What resort are you at? Sometimes its great to just hang out at the resort and swim and relax too.

We found Legoland to be the biggest waste of money of any theme park or amusement park we've been to across the entire country. My husband couldn't believe the exorbitant ticket price for what was offered - and I'm more laid back about vacation spending, but I was in shock as well.

If Universal is off the table, I would go to Disney Springs or just have a relaxing pool day. Or resort hop to see all the different themes. Something I would love to do (intentionally) but can never find the time.

Thanks for the replies! I should mention we are staying off-site so not sure resort hopping is an option? We have 5 day tickets and will use them before Friday. I'll look into SeaWorld also, but possibly just a swim day and Beaches and Cream on the Boardwalk!!

You can absolutely resort-hop even if you're staying offsite. That is, if you want to. :)
You can walk through the lobby/public areas of any of the resorts even if you aren't staying onsite. So you can drop by Animal Kingdom Lodge and head out to the public viewing area on the main savanna (via the exit at the back of the gorgeous lobby) and see the animals strolling by. There are also a few little nooks around the resort where you can sit on rocking chairs and watch the animals. (Very popular with kids - my son loves the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort!) Most resorts have some cool, unique aspect that's worth checking out. A leisurely stroll along the bay at Caribbean Beach Resort. Rent a Sea-doo from the marina at Grand Floridian and zip around Bay Lake. Or, from the Beach/Yacht Club marina. Rent a surrey bike at Beach/Yacht Club or on the Boardwalk, and let the older generation sit on the veranda and chill while you and the kids bike around.

We like to have a down day while we're at Disney - there is SO much walking, so much DOING, it's great to just stop and smell the roses for an afternoon, so I'd personally choose a pool day... but there are lots of other choices, if that isn't your speed.

(And Beaches & Cream is at the Beach Club resort, not the Boardwalk, fwiw.)

This is great, thank you. I'm a WDW newbie (haven't been since I was about 9!) so I kind of feel like I'm winging it, even with some planning. Pool and visit Animal Kingdom Lodge then Beaches and Cream is a tentative plan- need to check maps! (I noted where I thought it was hoping to be corrected or confirmed so thank you lol)
