Thoughts on Nine Dragons?

Has anyone been here recently that would like to share their thoughts or a link to a review?

We're an adults-only party of three, heading to O-Town in mid-September. No DDP; we use the TIW.

We've been to Epcot hundreds of times and never been here. We'll have an extra night we'll need a dinner for. So far, it looks like Biergarten and San Angel are must-dos. We're trying to decide between Blue Zoo or Nine Dragons. Outstanding fresh seafood places where we live are a dime a dozen. Decent/outstanding Chinese food is not something available to us in our hometown, tho.

We actually REALLY like Nine Dragons but a lot of people give it bad reviews. I think most people go in expecting it to be similar to their local Chinese food place and it's not. But we have eaten here several times, and have always had great food and perfect service. It's on our list again for our upcoming October trip. Unfortunately, we always inhale our food before I remember to take pictures so I don't have any to share.

Responding because I'd love to hear more about this. I have read that the revamped Nine Dragons is supposed to be great, but it doesn't seem to get much love on the boards.

I'm not necessarily worried about what's on the menu, per se, as I am with the overall quality and freshness of the food that is being prepared.

We ate at Nine Dragon's last August. I must admit that I was concerned after reading the reviews on this board. However, we really enjoyed it our meal. The food was good, our waiter was very attentive and we were able to watch the fireworks from our seats.

I made reservations for December and can't wait to try it! This will be my first time there.

We also avoided it for years after reading reviews here online. But, this past January we tried it on a whim one night and had a wonderfull meal and time there. It's on our list now.

Pot Stickers with Shrimp and Chicken Egg Rolls

Chicken Consomme with Pork Dumplings

Hot and Sour Soup

Sweet and Sour Pork over Spinach Noodles (side of rice)

Honey Sesame Chicken with Rice

Ginger Caramel Ice Cream

We ate at Nine Dragons for the first time in December. It was a good meal. The soups were on par with what we could find at a decent Chinese food restaurant at home but everything else was very good.

We are already planning on going back again. My children especially loved it.
