Thoughts on Magic Kingdom crowds the weekend Buzz opens? Help with itinerary

We will be at WDW April 10-13. Going to 1 park a day. I was originally planning on MK on Friday, April 10 but with Buzz Lightyear opening on April 8, I'm wondering if it would likely be less crowded on Sunday, April 12. What would you do? Thoughts on this itinerary?

Sat 4/11 AK
Sunday 4/12 Hollywood Studios
Monday 4/13 Epcot

I was thinking we should avoid the weekend at Epcot bc of Flower and Garden festival and the crowds and drinking in world showcase. We will have our 13 year old with us and he really wants to see the countries.

Personally I don't feel there will be any noticeable difference between the 2 dates. I would anticipate park attendance might jump a bit and waits to be longer for that ride all day, both days. A newly refurbished ride with greatly anticipated changes will draw a crowd both days. If anything, I think it could be busier on the Sunday than on the Friday as more locals may visit on the weekend?

I try to avoid opening day for any new/recently refurbished attractions due to all the vloggers that descend on the park. If it were me, I would go on Sunday. I would also take advantage of early entry if staying on site, as that will give you a head start over any locals just driving in.

I vote you won’t notice the difference. Buzz will see an elevated level of interest both days (I’d consider snagging a LL if I was buying LLMP) but the influencers will be there for previews and opening day specifically. I’d stick to EP on Monday for sure.

I misread their post. In that case, I would focus more on early entry and less on which day.
