I just made my first offer for 160points at AKL 2019 points won’t be able to be banked|2020 150 |2021 160.
They were asking $107 I offered $89 will this insult them?
I saw that contract just went pending. Did you get it at that $89 price?

If so I'd say it's approaching the same status of getting PVB for $100...I saw that contract just went pending. Did you get it at that $89 price?
No they replied that the seller had a full price offer.I saw that contract just went pending. Did you get it at that $89 price?
Take that information with a grain of salt.No they replied that the seller had a full price offer.
Didn't ask DH before making the offer
I really don’t think they’ll accept and probably not even counter. This is my most favorite part of the list![]()

No point in telling him, at least not until they counter offer.Haha last contract I was interested in, I waited to ask my husband and it went pending so I say offer now, ask hubs is the right move!
If it does and they don't counter just move on to the next contract. If you do your homework and watch the ROFR boards and know what you can afford then you work off of that. Happy hunting.I just made my first offer for 160points at AKL 2019 points won’t be able to be banked|2020 150 |2021 160.

EDIT- Actually I countered and then they countered and I agreed at $125pp now!
It sounds like a great deal to me. If you feel good about it, then go for it. I think you have to look at the ROFR thread to get a good idea of what is fair. But if you try to use it to always get a lower price than someone else, you’ll just frustrate yourself. There seem to be some buyers who just get super lucky, or maybe they have inside connections that the rest of us don’t have. But not everyone can pay the very lowest price.I've been trying to buy at BCV, not desperate to buy (already have 260 pts at BLT) but been testing the waters with offers -- I made an offer for 200 points @ $120pp and got a counter at $127.50pp which doesn't seem too bad for BCV. The contract has all of its 2020 and 2021 points but I have to pay the 2020 MF and Closing. What do you think, is that a good deal? It certainly isn't a "low ball" price. I've seen in the ROFR thread as low as $115pp for 300 points and $120pp for only 150 points, but those seem to be the exceptions to the rule, everything else it appears has gone for $130pp or greater.
(Hopefully not anyone on the boards and I'm not insulting anyone or anything by asking)

Yes!!! Congrats! What do you think, is that a good deal?
I just bought one at $135 for 150 points. Still waiting on ROFR.
