I definately agree with other posters noting you need to count the cost. We bought in back on 2001 (wishing we had done it years ago when our friends did and points were much less) knowing we were going to be starting a family, and we are really glad we got in when we did. We did add on extra points when BCV opened up, so now we have 250 points (split between WLV and BCV). My DS is almost 6 1/2 and has been there like 9 times. We enjoy having the upgraded accommodations when we used to only stay at Values or maybe Moderates. The extra space and amenities (like the washer/dryer and kitchen) are a huge plus for us. We love the flexibility of room size and resorts and times of year that are lower points etc. We've been able to take close family down with us that may not have been able to afford a Disney vacation on their own. We often get Annual Passes so if we can sneak multiple trips in per year, we get good value out of them. We've stayed flexible with our resort choices and have always been able to get in somewhere even very last minute. If we skip a year then we are more than able to get a longer stay, or a much bigger room to take some more people with us. For our family it was very much a great choice, but there are always many things to be considered, so just make sure you look at all your details and you will make yourself the correct decision.
