Southern California Thoughts on catamaran resort???

We are flying into long beach, driving to San Diego for 2 nights, then Disneyland for 6... Trying to pick a hotel for those first two nights is making me nuts! Hoping for beach, fun for kids, reasonable distance to zoo...help?

As a local, I like it. Makes me feels as though I'm on vacation. Considered it for a wedding venue as well. But, how much time are you spending at the hotel?

Keep in mind the hotel sits on the bay, and not the ocean. It has a beach IIRCC but no waves. Beach is across street and a short walk away. Quite busy as well. But plenty to do.
