What is anyone's opinons on Biergarten. Have never been there but not sure if its worth taking my 4 yr old and 2.5 yr old. any suggestions?

My family loves it! The entertainment is fabulous  . The buffet is excellent, lots of traditional German foods, but plenty of other options. I have very picky children (well at least 2 of the 3 are). Can't say enough about it!!

Good family fun . Loud and great for kids . Enough of a variety of food to satify most. Enjoy.

Love it! We've been there at least 4 times over the years and we never regret it. I'm from Milwaukee (very German) and the food there is outstanding. I don't have children, so I can't speak for that but I don't see why they wouldn't have fun there.

We eat in Germany every trip to WDW. My DH woudn't go with if he didn't get to eat in Germany :) DS8 and DD11 also love it. Lots of food options and the entertainment is fun!

My older son(11) likes it but my younger(9) doesn't. I think it's great but my better half doesn't really enjoy it.

I'm a pretty picky eater and I was able to find enough at the buffet to eat. The entertainment was wonderful. You may want to know in advance that if you're traveling with a smaller party they sit you a table with other families. We've always dined with very nice people, but it was definitely a surprise to us the first time we ate there.

Love the food, entertainment, and atmosphere - can't say enough good things about the Biergarten. :)

There are "comfort foods" on the buffet for kids. But my suggestion is to always just let the kids pick out what they want. You might be surprised they want to try something different. And that's the best part of a buffet. If you don't like something, oh well, you really didn't waste money on it.

The band for entertainment if great and if your kids like to get up and dance at weddings, you definitely want to take them to the Biergarten. They can get up on the dance floor and work out energy to their hearts' content. All of the tables have a good view of the dance floor.

I try and get my reservation for about 15-20 minutes before the show begins. Check http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/ for the latest schedule. With your kids, you will be able to get them up to the buffet before the show starts. You might even want to get a reservation just after a show has ended so the kids finish eating before the next one begins.

The current schedule is:

Daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm
Length of show: 25 minutes

I love Biergarten. I've even eaten there two days in a row once for lunch and then the next day for dinner LOL! It's so much fun. I don't have kids but every time I go there are kids dancing with the band and they seem to be having a great time. There is the traditional kids area of the buffet so they can get mac & cheese if that's what they enjoy but they have loads of yummy food and for the adults fantastic beer and wine!

Great for kids they can go by the stage during the entertainment and dance and the buffet is great!!!

Great place! The entertainment is so much fun, and your kids will enjoy the environment. The food was excellent, and there are a LOT of choices.

Wonderful. The music can be a little loud but it's entertaining and always a good show. The food is yummy. We choose this restaurant for our big family get together last year (there were 11 of us!) and we all had plenty to eat :goodvibes

The kids will love it!! the food is good and the atmosphere is soo much fun!!!!

I've been once for lunch and twice for dinner. Dinner is more fun because of the entertainment. The food is not great, IMO, but I am not a huge fan of German food. There is enough there to satisfy me, and I always seem to find a reason to go back for seconds so it can't be all bad.

I think its a good place for kids because it is kind of loud. They can get in on the fun, or even be a little fussy and not really disturb anyone.

Thanks everyone for all your replies! It has been very helpful. Just booked it! Can't wait! I love me some good german food

Like pretty much most of WS, don't expect authentic food, expect food modified for the American palate. the servers like to laugh with me over the food served there and some of it isn't even really German at all! :) Good, just not authentic, which is on par with the rest of WS dining for the most part.

We never miss a chance to eat at the Biergarten. I've never had reservations and have had great luck with a family of four walking in and getting a table. You just have to time it right - don't expect to walk in at 6 p.m. during a busy time of year - hit it right when it opens or even go for the latest lunch time possible. DS13 and DD11 love it - and both can be picky. The mac and cheese is a favorite and now they both love pork Shnitzel after trying it once. The giant beers are fun too, especially when the show starts and there are lots of toasts going around!
