Well, I was going to use our 15,000 AmEx reward points on car rental, until I found out that we could only get $150 off of the full price of a rental. Bah!

I know you can use the AmEx points for Disney breakfasts, although American Express doesn't have that listed on their website. My question is, does anyone have any recommendations where we should make those reservations? We'll probably use it on a "day off" from parks. So, Chef Mickey's? I'd love to check out Animal Kingdom Resort, but I don't think they have a character b'fast? Is the breakfast at O'Hana any good?

I'd appreciate your thoughts and recommendations.

If you will not be going into the parks that day, then I think your best choices would be either Chef Mickey's or the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club. As a matter of fact, we are looking forward to partaking at the Cape May breakfast on our next trip.

There is a slight difference between the characters at each: Mickey appears at Chef Mickey's (obviously), but not at Cape May.

You may want to check on the AMEX promo for character meals. I seem to remember reading something about it being discontinued effective 12/31/02. I may be mistaken but it comes to mind that there was a recent change.

OHanas is great (Mickey is there). We have enjoyed it every trip!

Darn Misti, you are right! I just looked on Mousesavers (I should have thought of that before). Ordering the B'fast vouchers expired 12/31/02. Had a ordered them a couple of days ago, they would have been good for six months.

Oh, well, they were 3500 points per b'fast. That's pretty high.

Kona Cafe is our choice. Love that Tonga Toast!

Sorry to hear that! I hoped I was wrong about it. :(

Yes, the point value was high anyway. So, maybe it is not such a bad thing. :)

Of all of the Disney breakfasts, none compare with the buffet at 1900 Park Faire! The food is delicious, the made to order omelets are scrumptuous, the service is top notch, and the characters are very entertaining. It definitely was THE best character meal we have experienced at WDW, and the best breakfast we have experienced anywhere!
