Would anyone like to share? Looking forward to staying there would like to hear what people are saying.:earsgirl:

Hi Allison,
the VWL are beautiful, the grounds are perfect and the CM's could not be better. The whole place has a very homey feel to it. I think you will really like it there. My DW fought me for three years about joining DVC until we took the tour of the VWL we joined the next day. Hope you hace fun.

We stayed in a one bedroom for 2 nights and loved it.
We noticed that the light swithches in our unit were all at whellchair height. The shower was normal and so was the toilet. We thought we might have a "limited" mobility room.
Anyway, I would ask for a room not on the 1st floor. We had a small slab of concrete instead of a balcony.

We stayed there for 1 night in May. We were in studio room #2505. It was quiet and peaceful. Our room overlooked the quiet pool. My only complaint was in the bathroom. You just about had to be a contortionist to reach the toilet paper. If I had been staying for a number of days the roll would have been moved where it was easier to reach. I know it's a strange complaint, but it's my only one.

not strange at all ...you are correct.....

they could have used the wall in front perhaps....but maybe that was too far a stretch.....

that was the only thing we would have changed in the studio we were in in feb

We made our first trip "home" after going for many years. WE split our time between FWV and BWV. Our three days at FWV were fantastic. They did give us a handicapped room at check in. AFter we discussed this with the manager they switched our room to 1516 which was perfect. First floor right next to the entrance off the lobby, and next to the health club. Our patio was a little cement slab, but we used it a bit. Standard view but very themed. We vowed that we would stay more days at FWV as we liked the atmosphere and the people. :)

VWL is our home resort. We stayed in a 2 BR there, and what we really liked about it was how quiet it was! My DH is a light sleeper, and he never had any trouble sleeping there. One of our other favorite vacation destinations is Colorado, and the great scent of pine in the air and the rustic theme of the lodge, made me feel like I was back in Durango! :D

One thing that we didn't do while there that is on my list for next time is to hunt for Hidden Mickeys. I believe there is a list of hints at the front desk to help you in your search.
